i have been a vegan for 5 months now and before that i was just a vegetarian for 7 years. I am 16 and i am the only person in my family who is even a vegetarian. i started doing this not because i saw a video but because i realized that an animal was losing its LIFE for 20 minutes of enjoyment if you see videos like this and continue to eat meat then you are sub human. pigs have higher brain power than dogs cats and even some fully grown primates and also are smarter than a 3yr old

I keep Chickens which also get treated with equal if not more contempt by man. I can tell you that Chickens are NOT stupid animals as I would imagine Turkeys are not. My Chickens talk to each other and work together if my dog chases one of them. They have personality something most people tucking into a KFC box of oil and chicken would care not be reminded of. I say lets eat these animal, but please lets treat them with some semblence of humanity. This is beyond the pale

The law merely requires that a tarp be placed over the animals while being transported, which is just ridiculous, as it does not protect them from the elements.

3)Could you abuse a being who is aware as you are or as a very young child? I don't oppose eating meat but I do hope that people are willing to eat more 'eco'meat because these animals have a normal life in contrary of the living hell of mass industry. Or try 'vegetarian 'meat or vegetarian products as long as mass industry doesn't improve animals conditions.

I can't get myself to eat meat anymore because I feel guilty and that Im then responsible for their suffering

2)Take a dog; he knows for sure when he has been naughty when hes been chewing on your shoes. Scientist have proven that even fish know stress and have intelligence like dolphins and Koi-fish. Many people consider and animals just as animals and as products without intelligence and without knowledge about their present situation. Just because animals can't be as cunning and mean as humans and cant make nukes it does not mean they don't feel or don't think in a way similar to ours.

People need to learn that animals are spirited beings with a nerves system sharper than ours and senses like sight, smell and hearing better than ours. More and more people start to realize they experience abuse, fear and pain worse than we do. Native people like Indians, Aborigines, Tibetans treated animals with respect even when they had to kill it. It's time we listen to them. It are people who torture, abuse animals with this mindset who make earth sometimes a shitty place to live.

People don't realize that all food animals are raised in poor, crowded and cruel conditions. After their short existence, they then have to endure hours upon hours, sometimes days to be trucked from one country to another. Canada now exports cattle to Mexico... that should not be allowed. These animals will never see food or water again and then the ultimate.... slaughter. What a sick world we live in. Go vegan for health, environment and the animals. Boycott Sara Lee products!
