You know you live in an area that isn't used to tornadoes when there aren't sirens going off non-stop for an hour before and after it occurs. Got a slight chuckle out of "tornado maximus" comment. I like that.
Oh My God WTH Is This I Mean WHAT THE HELLLLLLLLLLLL IS THE TORNADO GONNA DESTROYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Smh This Twister Piss Me OFFFFFFFFFFF
OMFG THAT WOULD SCARE THE FUCKING CRAP OUT OF ME!!!!!!!!! from reading an earlier comment i herd that u were safe and that the tornado didnt hit your house and u and your 2 children were safe :D im so glad i would hate to c people get hurt in a tornado but saddly people die every year from tornados :(
I was 22 and now 41. All my life I have told people about the first tornado I saw and the one you filmed is it. When I saw that everything outside looked green I knew something was wrong. I think the road my apartment was on was huebner? Anyway I called the weather station and instead of warning people they wanted to know if I had a camara. It was bright white and much thicker and larger when it brushed over the vet clinic. thanks for the post now I can show my kids etc.
Oh my goodness, I never knew there was a tornado in San Antonio! I lived down the neighborhood, off of Cliffbrier and Valley Dale. Really scary! I was only 9 years old at the time.
Sorry everyone I just realized the uploader's comment! I'm just baffled about this since I was living in San Antonio, but I lived near Sea World there.
I'm so glad San Antonio doesn't really ever get tornadoes. I have a best friend who lives there. And the same with Houston. My mom was either pregnant with me at this time, or I was a few months old. But I live in California. Where we've had like 3-5 tornadoes since the start of 2011. It's a bit alarming.
I was in one in 2010. NE side of town. Tropical storm Hermine passed through and spawned F-1 tornado barely missing the side of my house hitting the backyard.
I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS EVER A TORNADO IN SAN ANTONIO.. IM FROM 210 TOO . N I HEARD THAT IT COULD NVR HAPPEN HERE CUZ IT IS DEEP OR SUMTHIN .. BUT NOW IM PROVEN THAT IT COULD
?? Where did you hear that?? A crap load of tornadoes hit this city back in the 90s after the remnants of a hurricane passed through here. Tornadoes in cities do happen. It happened in NYC and Chicago as well, while I lived in both cities. And it happened here in SAT as well.
Hell yeah, that's definitely a "TORNADO MAXIMUS!" Hee, hee. I remember how some of those Texas thunderstorms seemed like they would spawn a nado, but never seen one till now. Yikes! In fact, I don't remember seeing this on the news, or even hearing about it from any of my family or friends...just found out about it now.

@TheAmandaAguirre Yes...I did put the camera and brought my two young children downstairs to a safer place. Fortunately, the small tornado did not hit my house.
@mlphotovideo I saw that tornado I was in Emerald Valley going to the HEB and turned around and went home but as I did it disappeared back up into the cloud.
pretty sure its sucking up dirt in the shot, using visual to make sure its on the ground is foolish practice unless u can get a direct view of the ground underneath
Some may have a hard time believing this, but on very rare occasions, we'll have a tornado warning here Montana. July 4th, 1998, we couldn't do fireworks because a huge storm moved into Billings and the sirens were blaring. A few funnel clouds were spawned that night. It is usually pretty rare, but it does happen sometimes.
I remember when this came on the news and Steve Brown showed it. I was about 14 and worried it might come to my area. Thank goodness I didnt see any of this 1n 1990 when I lived on Landspoint street
@WolvesFinalChance That's so cool! I do to. More of a storm chaser though. And you can when your in plain high school. There's this one guy on Storm Chasers on discovery (I do believe) that is 17 I'm pretty sure...
I live in SA. Don't remember hearing about this one. I know we don't get too many because of the hilly area; they usually bounce down and back up into the clouds....
There was a "stalled" cool front, just to the north of our area. Very warm and muggy on this side of the front and with afternoon heating, spawned the tornado.
I live in san antonio but gladly I wasnt born yet when this happened. But I hear that we are on tornado watch again

The funnel wasn't even close to the ground - you panicked, and that will get you killed.

You are correct, but it still looked pretty cool!

You wanna know what looks cool? Driving into a tornado. xD
I wanna do dat. o.O
I going to study to be a meteorologist when I go to collage.
WolvesFinalChance 3 years ago
Sounds good, but you may never make it to college if you make a habit of driving into tornadoes.
mlphotovideo 3 years ago
Ha. I don't have a habit of it. I just want to. Lol. I get strait A'S. And I am a genius :O Thats what my teachers say. xD
I would drive into a weak one. Not a EF-5, 4, or 3. xD A EF-0, 1, or two. My dad did that 10 times. Scary:O
