  • I live in san antonio but gladly I wasnt born yet when this happened. But I hear that we are on tornado watch again

  • You know you live in an area that isn't used to tornadoes when there aren't sirens going off non-stop for an hour before and after it occurs. Got a slight chuckle out of "tornado maximus" comment. I like that.

  • he went in to post the video n then took cover lol jk

  • Oh My God WTH Is This I Mean WHAT THE HELLLLLLLLLLLL IS THE TORNADO GONNA DESTROYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Smh This Twister Piss Me OFFFFFFFFFFF

  • OMFG THAT WOULD SCARE THE FUCKING CRAP OUT OF ME!!!!!!!!! from reading an earlier comment i herd that u were safe and that the tornado didnt hit your house and u and your 2 children were safe :D im so glad i would hate to c people get hurt in a tornado but saddly people die every year from tornados :(

  • I was 22 and now 41. All my life I have told people about the first tornado I saw and the one you filmed is it. When I saw that everything outside looked green I knew something was wrong. I think the road my apartment was on was huebner? Anyway I called the weather station and instead of warning people they wanted to know if I had a camara. It was bright white and much thicker and larger when it brushed over the vet clinic. thanks for the post now I can show my kids etc.

  • i live in michigan which sometimes does get tornados but not often but thank god i don't live in kansas. tornado alley

  • Oh my goodness, I never knew there was a tornado in San Antonio! I lived down the neighborhood, off of Cliffbrier and Valley Dale. Really scary! I was only 9 years old at the time.

What ended up happening to the tornado?

  • I beleive this tornado threw a couch into my sisters friends pool

  • Sorry everyone I just realized the uploader's comment! I'm just baffled about this since I was living in San Antonio, but I lived near Sea World there.

  • WTF! What part of San Antonio was this? I was 5yrs old and living in San Antonio at the time. Please someone tell!

  • Yes, yes...got a little emotional while narrating!

  • tornado-maximus??

  • Braun Station and Silver Creek, in NW San Antonio.

  • I'm so glad San Antonio doesn't really ever get tornadoes. I have a best friend who lives there. And the same with Houston. My mom was either pregnant with me at this time, or I was a few months old. But I live in California. Where we've had like 3-5 tornadoes since the start of 2011. It's a bit alarming.

  • the day this vid was uploaded was on my birthday!!

  • I was in one in 2010. NE side of town. Tropical storm Hermine passed through and spawned F-1 tornado barely missing the side of my house hitting the backyard.

  • What part of town was that in? I remember when those tornadoes hit.

  • I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS EVER A TORNADO IN SAN ANTONIO.. IM FROM 210 TOO . N I HEARD THAT IT COULD NVR HAPPEN HERE CUZ IT IS DEEP OR SUMTHIN .. BUT NOW IM PROVEN THAT IT COULD

  • @Throwedmex210

?? Where did you hear that?? A crap load of tornadoes hit this city back in the 90s after the remnants of a hurricane passed through here. Tornadoes in cities do happen. It happened in NYC and Chicago as well, while I lived in both cities. And it happened here in SAT as well.

  • wow..... i hate tornados so much

  • oooooo mmyyyyyy gggodddddd....ittttssss aaaaa """"TORNADO MAXIMUS""""

  • yea north side cold ice idoint

  • Hell yeah, that's definitely a "TORNADO MAXIMUS!" Hee, hee. I remember how some of those Texas thunderstorms seemed like they would spawn a nado, but never seen one till now. Yikes! In fact, I don't remember seeing this on the news, or even hearing about it from any of my family or friends...just found out about it now.

  • Hell yeah, that's definitely a "TORNADO MAXIMUS!" Hee, hee. I remember how some of those Texas thunderstorms seemed like they would spawn a nado, but never seen one till now. Yikes!

  • WHOA THATS REALLY RARE! I BET THEIR HEARTS WERE GOING TO PUMP OUT OF THEIR CHESTS!

  • ive never been in a tornado 0.o, but is it wierd that i would like to be in a situation like that just t o see one.. not like ima drive in one!

  • (in nerd voice) its so and so in diameter NERD!

  • wat county did u live in wen that happend

  • Didn't that Tornado hit an HEB?? I think my dad told me about that one but I was only 3 when that Tornado hit.

  • the sirens are coming from the hollywood park fire department those are the nearest sirens to there

  • Yes dear, it is moving twards you. That means put away the camera and get in the house.

  • @TheAmandaAguirre Yes...I did put the camera and brought my two young children downstairs to a safer place. Fortunately, the small tornado did not hit my house.

  • @mlphotovideo I saw that tornado I was in Emerald Valley going to the HEB and turned around and went home but as I did it disappeared back up into the cloud.

    Around noon I believe.

  • glad it was only a F-0 and not an F-2

  • @lionsforlyons uh it never touched on the ground.

  • thats not even bad...you could stand under that thing and be fine.

  • pretty sure its sucking up dirt in the shot, using visual to make sure its on the ground is foolish practice unless u can get a direct view of the ground underneath

  • The funnel wasn't even close to the ground - you panicked, and that will get you killed.

  • wow this happened almost exactly where my best friend lives today. scary, how some may think tornadoes never occur here, but they have.

  • Some may have a hard time believing this, but on very rare occasions, we'll have a tornado warning here Montana. July 4th, 1998, we couldn't do fireworks because a huge storm moved into Billings and the sirens were blaring. A few funnel clouds were spawned that night. It is usually pretty rare, but it does happen sometimes.

  • I remember when this came on the news and Steve Brown showed it. I was about 14 and worried it might come to my area. Thank goodness I didnt see any of this 1n 1990 when I lived on Landspoint street

  • Were you scared, as well?

  • EF-0 Is the weakest -_-

  • You are correct, but it still looked pretty cool!

  • You wanna know what looks cool? Driving into a tornado. xD

    I wanna do dat. o.O

I going to study to be a meteorologist when I go to collage.

  • Sounds good, but you may never make it to college if you make a habit of driving into tornadoes.

  • Ha. I don't have a habit of it. I just want to. Lol. I get strait A'S. And I am a genius :O Thats what my teachers say. xD

    I would drive into a weak one. Not a EF-5, 4, or 3. xD A EF-0, 1, or two. My dad did that 10 times. Scary:O

  • Strait A's? lol

  • @WolvesFinalChance That's so cool! I do to. More of a storm chaser though. And you can when your in plain high school. There's this one guy on Storm Chasers on discovery (I do believe) that is 17 I'm pretty sure...

  • i live in san antonio on the NE side in hollywood park

  • Pretty close call...it hit about 200-300 yards away from where you were.

  • I was at the baseball field by stevenson when this happened I saw the same thing was 7 years old scared the crap outta me

  • good thing its only a E-F0

  • damn so thats kinda by stevenson middle school right?

  • Cool, I saw this video last night on the Discovery Channel.

  • I live in SA. Don't remember hearing about this one. I know we don't get too many because of the hilly area; they usually bounce down and back up into the clouds....

  • "it might be a good idea to put my two infant children in a safe place!"

    It was, dude.

  • I LIVE IN SAN ANTONIO!!!!!! (on the north side where there are no tornados):)

  • There was a "stalled" cool front, just to the north of our area. Very warm and muggy on this side of the front and with afternoon heating, spawned the tornado.

  • i wonder what the weather coverage was like for this in 92.

  • what part of san antonio do u live in i live on the northeast side

  • I live on the NW side.

  • Nope...it briefly hit about a mile away. It was an f-1/2 tornado with winds of about 75 mph.

  • ditto

  • Wow did it hit your house?
