very nice! we're going there in December this yr. Going from North to south within a time frame of 4 weeks. Our kids are half Viet and Half Irish. This would be a great way to show their roots. Thanks for the upload from Australia :)

@smigon4em sorry not been on here much.vietnam is a very beautiful country stayed in hanoi ...then 3 days on a boat in halong bay then 3 days in ankor in cambodia i will never forget it and hope to go back soon

@pasodoble11 I would presume the winter would be the coolest and im sur ethe internet could provide info as to when this is. I travelled from ho chi min to hanoi, with many places in between, il find out the details soon, please keep in contact.

@pasodoble11 you should visit Vietnam in spring and autumn. In spring, though it's still chilly, it's also the festival season in Vietnam. You can attend many local festivals. They are all traditional and interesting. Summer is quite hot. Autumn is cool. Suitable for traveling. There is much differences in the weather of the North and the South. In the North, there are 4 clear seasons but in the south, only the dry and the rainy. Any way, Vietnam is a fantastic destination for any travelers.

I totally agree. Vietnam is beautiful. I love the food and the people. But the place is very noisy and crowded.  My favorite place to vacation is Laos. It's quiet and peaceful. I like swimming in their blue lagoons and hiking on the tall misty mountains.
