I watched this again because I like the instrument. The girl has a big mouth and her lower jaw is nice and forward so she has that gorgeous tone. But she doesn't breath in the back...( and why are students sitting?) if you notice at the end of the phrases the body automatically leans forward to squeeze more breath out...in a way it keeps the connection but the full kernel of the sound needs breath expansion from the back to the sternum. One good thing about this approach is developing mezzavoce

This girl has a really beautiful instrument....wanted to hear the chorus. It is correct what the teacher is saying constant airflow.....but he needs to mention the favourable prerequisites to that result. When she begins the second time the breath is more compressed thats all. But in order to develop the FULL potential of a voice need to open..there is another compression that results from opening under the sternum.
she gains confidence when they start sayin yeah, and there you go, lol it's funny to watch her facials when they say that cuz then she thinks she is a professional and that shes amazing. cute cute. haha
A singer needs breath control, A good melody, A good lyric, Good diction, Feeling, Emotion, Expression, Timing, Acting, Incidently, one more thing, a nice voice would help and you're ready to go. Okay? I'll count you in; 1,2, 1234....... What ? you're a rapper ? May I ask you please, Why do rappers shuffle about shouting in a monotonous monotone with the fingers of their right hand constantly pointing at the ground ?
She actually has a beautiful voice. It's amazing how quickly people who don't know anything about singing can pass judgement by hearing someone sing a couple phrases in a relatively small 4-5 tone range. If you have been singing Speech Level Singing for years, you should be able to tell there's a crazy amount of power, control and color behind her voice, they just didn't show it in this video. She wasn't flat either.
With no disrespect, Sorry Scat Springs but I'm not impressed with your singer. I've heard better singers in kids choirs. I would love to work with you. You could teach me how to Scat

Singing is a virtue not meant to be for everyone! So, "to have-or not-to-have"... that's the dilema of life!
