  • fake ass story about bruce !

  • Paul Vernak is my friend. We had lunch the other day and he said that he hates you @NewAmericaNow Don't fuck with him or else you fuck with me.

    Don't forget to subscribe!!!

  • @channelin everyone reacts differently to confrontations. Most highly skilled martial artists will only fight under the most extreme provocation and/or to defend themselves or loved ones against unavoidable attack. If you are well trained and cultivate proper mental attitude you will react instinctively. How you train is how you react.

  • I watched this, and kicked some kids ass while i was drinking a slurpee. With a calm look on my face.

  • @McBudz420 ha ha ha :)

  • where is part 2 and 99, and all in between??? XD

  • This is a great class subj! :) i dont know this man-but he does understand the art of fighting :) and teaches it very well! i hold a black belt in tkd & ninjutsu! thats not importiant: but what is-is i didnt learn how to use any of it-till i learned what this guy is stressing in this vid :)

  • he was my master a long time ago in 89-99

  • @tonyt182001 lucky bastard

  • faggots

  • @purephyziczbowler300 who? you and your boyfriends?

  • @purephyziczbowler300

    pussy hole

  • the thing is...if your not enraged you shouldn't be fighting on the street anyways.

  • @SirFightsalot I disagree. When your enraged sometimes you dont think clearly. Idk if your a fan of MMA but in an episode of The Ultimate Fighter, Josh Koshcheck got into an altercation with a nurse or something from Team GSP and he got enraged and his training all flew out the window. He was very disorganized and just kinda slapping in the other guys direction. If he would have kept his cool he wouldve thought clearly and utilized the proper technique that the trains so well in.

  • @SirFightsalot

i hate siimpletons like you. ohh you dont have to fight. BS there may come a time when walking away is not an option, the person wont leave you alone thats when you fight

  • mma owns as soon as he jabbed back id go for a double leg maybe get some underhooks and whizzer his ass into side controll then to a kimura lol

  • That dude has got to have the worst jab I have ever seen.

  • It's true about what he says about guys with tattoos lol. My teacher said the same thing too.

  • Why is everone standing in the ortodox stance ?

  • @Kampkunstner The last demonstration is unorthodox stance.

  • @Kampkunstner Jkd students prefer having the stronger side up front. I guest most people in the video are right handed. Once you get good, you also learn the other side.

  • i just love hearing about bruce in these videos..its like wow the guy was just bad ass!!

  • i like that teaching ! damn i wish i could see the ending of that class was such a nice subject

  • i like that teaching !

  • Remember I was here.Thai

  • good stuff-theres alot of psychological going on in a fight that can make or break you.... thanks for sharing

  • man, the reading drills is genius, i used to think sparring is just to get used to fighting, now i have another concept in my mind everytime i spar or watch a ufc fight

  • Having said all that; guys like Roy Jones Jr. never ever kept their hands up at all

  • This guy is a pretty decent boxer. Notice how easily he shifts to southpaw, then r.h. etc. Also notice he doesn't throw the huge knockout punch (they seldom land) but just a solid quick shot. I would be happy to shell out some loot to train under him, and I doubt you would need 3-4 years to become effective. (I boxed once upon a time)

  • @sparwood8 its impossible to tell if hes even average level in boxing without seeing full sparring,Im sure he has some boxing but nothing special knowing his background..I know hes just doing a drill but you never drop your lead hand like that after attacking, its a bad habit for full contact and something points competitors do a lot.Elite lads get away with it via speed, timing and agility, the vast majority of non elites will get dropped doing it.

  • @billysue2 You are right on both counts. ONe trick we used (50 yrs ago) with beginner boxers: Use their right hand/fist to hold a third glove against their right cheek, just under the bone. Throw the left like mad. The right hand stays high. Then once in a bit, turn the shoulders as though you were throwing the right. After 5-6 week (spar 3 rounds a workout) No glove, use both hands. Very few dropped the right when throwing the jab

  • this is great ! can you upload the whole seminar ?

  • Vunak is a top JKD teacher.

  • I luv this guys teaching ability. Paul is a living legend.

  • YO !! IS THAT NARDU????? LOL! the Brotha with the Dreads? If That's You, Shout out from your former Brother, Elgin From Sifu Mitchell's School. .... If Im wrong... my bad!

  • Bruce is lucky he didnt get shot. He might have been a great fighter but sounds like he had no self control and put himself at unneccessary risk because he couldnt control his temper. He's lucky no one busted a cap in him.I LOVED Bruce, but this aint nuthin to brag about . Not for a master.

  • @TheSubwaysurfer I understand what you're saying, but at the same time it causes me to respect Bruce even more. He was not the typical bs master who had so much confidence that he never actually fights. i.e. " I could pull out your heart with my pinky, but I wont because my hands are registered weapons". He knew he could fight and he did. Never killed anyone, just bruised them and taught them a lesson.

  • im paul's top student here in new york offering private training. if you want the best vunak style training on the east coast, checkout my page and contact me.

  • Where in NY?

  • i like paul vunak alot but i like it when guru dan tells the story

  • Part 2???

  • Many times the fight is lost by the doubt in your own ability and or the perceived strengths of the opponent. Confidence in self is the key to all conflict in life.

  • agreed bout that first point. confidence has ALOT to do with wining fights. But i will always go into a fight with the mentality that my aponent is bigger and stonger than i am because thats just how im trained. it helps you with using technique instead of strength. =]

  • Did you just copy and paste that? Or are you the wise man from the mountains

  • @NewAmericaNow

what did you mean by "confidence in self is the key to all conflict in life"?

how do you get rid of the fear that your opponent is stronger then you and could kill you in a street fight? like paul said in the vid its a fear of the unknown...

  • @channelin Fear is the perception of danger and it is that fear that prepares you for conflict, it dilates your pupils for better vision, it causes your heart to pump faster for better oxygenation, and produces adrenaline to increase your speed and strength. You don't want to banish it but embrace it and learn to work with it. Treat the fear as a friend but do not allow it's power to overwhelm you. Confidence is the knowing that you will overcome any challenge regardless, practice can achieve it

  • @NewAmericaNow

it still doesn't make sense to me! ive trained so much in MMA, ive done it for 2 years and still i get scared of the opponent especially if they are loud and bigger then me. still my fear hasnt changed and stops me from being able to fight when i get in to confrontations.

how can you treat fear as a friend

  • @channelin The main way to conquer that, is to realize in "Peace time" that it doesn't matter what the opponent does to you. That's not something you can control, and shouldn't even be thought about. The only thing you should put cognitive energy into is obliterating any threat that appears, and not stopping until it's removed.

  • @chilledkirby

so your saying you shouldnt be concerned about being stabbed or killed?! just focus on taking him out. it doesnt make sense to me. thats very difficult to do in real life. how can you just not think about that?

  • @channelin Very true. I'm not formally trained but i do have exposure to martial arts and boxing. The one thing I was taught is exceptence. Excepting that it's happening, excepting any outcome, and last excepting that "this" (the confrontation) is real and now. If not panic sets in and it's all downhill from there. Also, put that fear of it in your mind. Learn to breathe through it. So if you have to fight at least you know how to control you. Thus controlling the fight.

  • @AWheel84 Accept to except.

  • @bigplaya5000 Right. Wrong spelling. Glad i don't teach english. Still don't have it fully down in text.

  • @AWheel84 no worries, just givin you a hard time =P

  • think about the task at hand. focus on the moment

  • There seem to be alot of "JKD" teachers coming out now. But unlike people like Dan Larry & Paul (who carried on Bruce's work evolving JKD as a living concept or philosophy). Look like hacks trying to impersonate Bruce (Badly they mostly look like they are having a sezure). It's nice to see Paul still trying to teach people Bruce's art not just the look.

  • i remember paul back in the 80's at the kali academy. paul is a very dynamic teacher one of danny's elite fighters.try him out.

  • No i'm the last dragon.

  • Why don't you take a bath in molten acid you fucktard.

  • Wow, you really are retarded--"solid acid." By the way how is your mother? She was really sore when she left my place, as I rammed it up her ass pretty hard. As you well know, her puss is unusable, it got overstretched when she had to run your fat head through it.

  • uric acid. succinic acid. Theres two would you like more?

  • I smell vinegar. . . Wait, that's because you're a douche bag.

  • Whoah. Some psychology of fighting. Love it.

Paul Vunak is an awesome teacher.

I wish I could learn from him.

  • true enough man, psychology of fighting is essential, too bad that very few teachers teach something about it....

  • Awesome video!

  • Great clip, thanks for sharing.

  • hey pussycup u havent learned to keep your mouth shut yet. everyone check out pussycups vids there awful the worst ok karate master. take care pussycup.

  • paul vunak is the man

  • im not to sure how true this story is you know as time goes on people addd things in lol

  • TommyCarruther???? Never heard of him! Is he important?

  • Comment removed

  • Tommy Carruthers is amazingly quick, and probably the closest person to picking up Bruce's mantle, but that doesn't make PV any less of an incredible martial artist and perhaps the greatest modern martial arts teacher.

  • Great teacher, but what if they are so fast you cant read the jab! lol

  • thanks for posting

  • awesome, is there anymore?

  • Paul's awesome, I've done 7 private lessons with him, hes got the combat arts down pact, Boxing, Thai Boxing, Bjj, so he understands what works with Trapping & what doesn't. He's not like some Kung fu guy who has no knowledge of Boxing, so he gets knocked out.

  • Paul Vunak rocks! Great instructor, thanks for sharing this vid.

  • Paul vunak and a great person it I would want a lot to know truly large
