Deathtraps these planes, cargo doors blew off sucking any passengers out sitting in the rear of the cabin when the floor collapses,also the engines had a nasty habit of falling off!!! L1011 and 747 was only way to travel in the 70s

It's a sexy aircraft ever built by Boeing..don't see any problem as far as safety is concerned..Emirates operates brand new aircrafts where as Biman is operating very old aircrafts with reasonable safety record..so u need to apply ur sense who are more efficient...

Bangla Biman is a very small airline company and I have a relative that use to pilot for them, but left to come to the U.S.

Funny thing is, Biman isn't a very safe airline to fly, and they've experienced multiple failures on their planes, yet they have yet to report a single fatality due to a disastrous crash.

DC10's have a huge reputation for crashing, yet Biman hasn't lost one yet.

Amazing/Skilled pilots i say :P

Can't wait to fly, but gotta go through USAF to be succesful in aviation.

Biman is the worst airline I have ever been on nearly 2 days to get from London to Bangkok and made me stay in their hotel which was a shithole also millions of crippled beggars outside ready to pounce on you if your brave enough to go out also would not permit me to take my video camera into the country so I had to nearly fight with them to allow me to take it with me also spiders as big as my hand running about in the duty free shop STAY AWAY FROM BIMAN BELIEVE ME

there are 191 civil DC-10 in service plus 59 military 191+59=250 so there are 250 DC-10 in service. By written off i mean damaged beyond repair

I always thought the DC-10 and Tristar looked very ungainly and not very aerodynamic, the wings always looked too small. But they were very smooth to fly on. Trouble is I was always terrified in case the cargo door came open even though they fixed that problem.

DC-10 ungainly?? They gotta be one of the most graceful and balanced looking machines. If you think a DC-10 or TrisStar is ungainly, then look at an A380, then you'll see ungainly. Once they fixed the door lock system, it became as safe as any other jetliner.
