  • hahah great video!

  • If i am not wrong with Ajhan Chah action, he was actually trying to enlightened Ajhan Brahm by barking at him, cause at that moment, if he realized the meaning of why Ajhan Chah do that,he might have found his answer to realizations. Ajhan Brahm mind was too attached to help his master for the sonar and start to cling to that feeling for his master. That's why Ajhan Chah said there is nothing!there is nothing there for him to crave and cling to, not even him. Let go and the mind will be free.

  • I have just discovered Ajahn recently and I have to admit, in all my years of studying Buddhism, I find Ajahn's style of delivery and off-the-cuff epithets so refreshing. He brings a down-to-earth mentality to the Dharma with a dry sense of humour and can be funny with it. I liken him to Rev. Kusala in America. Thanks for posting this fantastic interview.

  • @ipoian

which ajahn are you referring to...there are many

  • 3:16 thru 4:00 had a profound effect on me.

  • @meadowrock Letting go is enLightenment.

  • I met Ajahn Brahm in HK Feb 2011. Never have I met a Dhamma teacher or monk so jolly and inspiring at the same time, he is very compassionate too. I had good laugh in every his Dhamma talk and absorb the great energy and joy from him. Thanks so much Ajahn and those who make good effort of putting his talks onto internet. I want to follow him but he is so far away from my country. However, I know whenever I need inspiration and food for the mind, Ajahn Brahm is always here. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!

  • what is the flashed text just before 6 minutes??! says 'unanswered' i think

  • There is nothing

  • Nirvana,

One thing I love about Buddhism is they don't go around spreading religious around or try to convert others to joint them such as Christan or Muslim.

I'm not a religious person but if I was choosing one it's definitely Buddhism.

  • @jaonthairobber666 Buddhism, like Hinduism, isn't a (organized) religion, it is a way of life, state of mind or rather as how I view it, a belief system...☮

  • i lol'd

  • Wise man indeed

  • I think this man is very likable and interesting.

  • Nice to hear Ajahn Brahm's story of his bhikkhu beginnings. Thanks.

  • Wonderful video. Sensitively made.

  • LOL love it ! :)

i dont get it sadly :( haha

if you like his video, you should read his book :D

Who Ordered This Truckload of Dung?

    tahts the title :)

  • i love Ajahn Brahm's talks he dosent talk to seem intelligent just to help and he is an incredible man a very clear thinking Buddha.

  • why does Unrendered flash on the screen at like 6:00?

  • Something to do with the camera filming or the software used afterwards. I don't think it was a Buddhist subliminal message! :)

  • lmao obviously xD

  • Why do I laugh when Brahm speaks?

Its because everything he says comes from a place of such truth and kindness that I laugh, forget my problems and sometimes a tear comes to my eye...

    I cant help laugh

  • Yes Brahm has mastered communicative skills. I love him.

  • Really odd you asking that as its my thought why I wanted to comment but first read others messages, I wondered why everytime I come across his vids even this one a simple interview a tear comes into my eye, weird but can't help but love and admire this man. coming from a totally normal not loved up barely spiritul guy ,,

  • you make me laugh Ajahn Brahm LOL empitness is wholeness; wholeness is empitness.

  • Words are confusing, especially when they try to point at non- or pre-conceptual modes of awareness and I agree that that is where mind to mind transmission is most important. May we all reap the fruit of the path to enlightenment and benefit others with our lives.

  • Nothing and Emptiness points to a state that is open and available for any and everything to happen without awareness having to identify with anything as its core or self. It is enormously spacious and accommodates all your mental and emotional events but remains largely obscured by them. We can become free from our own mentally created relationships with the sensory and the mental world while remaining fully aware of its contents and experiencing compassionate relationships with all beings.

  • Nice nice nice Ajarn.. I am very proud of him from what he gained from Thailand

  • Excellent !

  • just don't drink the punch

  • emptiness? why emptiness?

why ask why? why not to ask why?

    why what? what 's why?

  • Thanks for this great video!

All the best wishes to Ajahn Brahm.

He is very inspiring and funny too.

  • I dont understand!!!:-) Thank you for posting! Sabbe satta sukhi hontu!

  • wonderful video! thank you!

  • "its only heavy if you're holding in to it"

    beautiful.

  • That is a very beautiful and wise statement that cuts to the heart of the matter.

  • @kiwikiswahili What a great philosophy in it.

  • Thank you so much for posting this interview! It's wonderful!

  • Funny, this seems quite characteristic of his witty style; but I've only known him through his audio talks (there are many online) and his books.

  • omg Ive never seen ajahn acting this way. How long have you known him?

  • I met him in Toronto in July. Got his book signed! He's even more funny in person. I told him "I listened to your talks online every week" He replied "You've haven't gotten enough of the punishment yet?" He's very easy and nice to talk to.

  • Never meet your hero, unless it's someone like him :)
