Go for CTS because you get more for your money. But if you want top build quality, you're ready to pay more, and obviously you want the badge, go for mercedes. Altough c class is REALLY small inside. On your place, i'd skip the c class, and go for something else. I'd go for audi A4 2.0 tfsi. Its better built, drives better, engine is better, has more room inside, its cheaper and....it looks better if you ask me.

Design of the dashboard in CTS is nice, i have to admit. But its made from cheap materials and it makes annoying noises when driving over bumps on the road. Its miles away from BMW 3 interior quality, even in the smallest details. You can say whatever you want, but the fact is that BMW, Audi and Mercedes build the best interiors in the class. And everyone who knows something about cars, knows that. CTS simply doesnt feel like premium quality product when you put it next to BMW3 or Audi A4.

Also, if you're talking about cts, its only faster than M5 on nurburgring, on every other race circuit M5 smokes it. Also, its faster because like 4 kilometers of nurburgring cars drive faster than 250km/h. Well, CTS does because its not limited, and M5 loses a lot of time on straights because of 250kmh limit. AND, 5 series is 6 YEARS OLD, cts is a brand new car.

I've been in US many times, i have some family there too. I know what kinds of cars you drive. The only two cars produced in US that can be compared to european ones are Corvette and this CTS. Corvette is fast, but still isnt near the quailty that ferrari, lambo, porsche etc. offer. But thats why its cheap. CTS is pretty damn good. Everything else is cheap rubbish. They are reliable, but they are cheap, old fashioned, they arent as refined and luxurious as european or japanese cars.

My friend has a 95' 740il, his dad use to have an 07 740i, my brother use to own 06' M3, my cousin owns an 01' 540i 6speed, my dad owns a ML320, and my sister owns a C280, MERCEDES=SHIT BMW=GOOD but not the best, CTS is better then anything that has some out for it's price from any maker so far. Umm fail bro, where should I start, my friend 740il, headliner and all weather protector (rubber crap) is falling off, my bros M3 had horrible oil leaks, my dad 320 was burning oil at one point, all the chrome on it is rusting and the doors are very homo and hard to shut. My sisters 2006 C280 doesn't even have power seats, and also the doors suck as well. German cars aren't the best, no brand is. Only specific cars. BMW/Merc are all over priced cars, get an Acura TL Type-S good bank for the buck

Yes, a lot of people in my family drive BMW's. I dont drive it. I drive a Honda Accord 2.4, because i cant yet afford a BMW. But i will get 325i or 330i as soon as possible. My father drives a 530d, my undles and aunts all drive BMW's (new 745i, 730d, 530d). My cousins drive BMWs (120d, 320i, x3 2.0d). Never had any serious problems with them, and they really drive a lot every day, mostly on highways.

Hey be careful about getting the Maxima...the CTS gets 18mpg city/26mpg highway and maxima gets only 1 more mpg city and same on highway. Also, Maxima requires PREMIUM gas whereas CTS only needs regular for BOTH engines...you don't want to pay more for premium.
