  • phil lynott totally looks like o-zone from breakin 2: electric boogaloo

  • John Sykes is such a monster jesus christ he can shred. Phil still sounds great in this heavier sound they adopted at the time. Lizzy could get real heavy and real funky when they wanted to thats why they've always appealed to me

  • ANTHOLOGY !!!!!!!!!!!

  • like aerosmith

  • GREAT!!!!!

  • Simply put...this is one of the most kick-ass songs ever made!

It's too bad you'll never hear it on the radio...the only Thin Lizzy we get here in colorado is "the boys are back in town",or maybe "jailbreak".

I consider myself very fortunate for being "into" this band ,when everybody else was listening to "Kiss"!

  • @neverwinter9 Who listened to Kiss in 1983?

  • Amazing band, This was their last but Heaviest album. This was also where they picked up Sykes from another amazing band: Tygers of Pan Tang.

  • Not 1 dislike & that's how it should stay!

  • This is THE song to play when you wanna wake the neighbours up

  • have this song stuck in my head but i did not know who it was by and what it was achely called

  • @toaseman That is actually one of the most painful spelling fails ever & I'm not one for grammar nazism! Achely???? It's Actually & I think you should get off the internet & start learning to speak your own language!

  • @Rattlehead15 do the letters FO mean anything to you??

  • @toaseman Yes ACTUALLY! F is the 6th letter & O is the 15th letter of the alphabet! But seeing as you're trying to tell me to Fuck off, why didn't you just ACTUALLY tell me to fuck off instead of using two letters that could mean any abbreviation. They could mean anything from "Fudge On" to "Faulty Orange". It would have saved us both a lot of hassle if you just told me to fuck off! But since you didn't, I'm afraid that I'm going to be here until you eventually FO.... Sorry, I mean FUCK OFF!

  • @Rattlehead15 fuck me all i fucking did was spell actually wrong so if you just fuck off and carry on with you life then i will do the same

  • THE MOST ADDRENILIN PUMPING SONG EVER!!!!

  • Shit, man. I wasn't expecting that kind of heaviness from the same band that wrote "The Boys Are Back In Town."

  • YES!

  • I think Phil's up there with some of the best lyric writers of all time, including mike skinner, gary lightbody and noel gallagher...

  • damn dude......this song gives just about any other metal band you could think of, a run for their money...Thin Lizzy kicks ass

  • ipod your finger is right on the pulse......... TL caught my attn when I was 15 (1974) and it was all over.......addicted for life. BS/DP/AERO/SCORPS were also dominating back then.......and it sounds even better to me today. Rock on and turn it up my friend.

  • thin lizzy is way underrated. i come back to these 70s bands and i suddenly cant stand any of todays music.

  • gothic slam covered this tune in the early 90s...and did a damn fine fuckin job of it!

check it out ...youll love it

  • This is rock music, long live Thin Lizzy

  • thumbs up for 0 dislikes!

  • bordering on metal? this is straight up metal :D

  • John Sykes is on fire!

  • i love the verse whe it cuts in at 1.40

  • Kicks butt out of any coma

  • I would love a Pantera cover of this. Dime & Phil A. Ahhh imagine it! RIP Phil L & Dime You legends !

  • @DrD3ATHD3ALER10 that would be disgusting. not as good as this version but nevertheless disgusting

  • This solo is about every thrash metal solo fused into one. And it KICKS ASS.

  • @TheFakeChannel

    Sykes.

    Nuff said.

  • GOD DAM!!

  • Phil was Frak Zappa of hard rock!

  • Kirk Hammett WISHES he was John Sykes.

  • John James Sykes come Backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Comment removed

  • masters

  • @YouTube- Where's the kickass button?

  • most "punk" rockers don't even know thin lizzy...black flag tv party may never have existed if it was for this classic talent

  • BEST BAND IN THE WORLD.

  • In my opinion Lizzy were the best rock band ever. Just one thing...What was the point of Darren Wharten?

  • Good Good Good Music ....enough said.

  • RIP Phil...

  • thunder and lightning outside so as usual i went straight for this song :)

  • FUCK MADONNA AND ALL THE PUSSIES AT R'N'R HALL OF FAME!

ONE LIZZY FART IS HEAVIER THAN ANY MADONNA'S CRAP!

  • @christoskoulis1 could not have said it better...madonnas crap is probably as plastic or "juiced" as all the so called studs shes had/has

  • Early Heavy Metal - Pioneers!

  • godammit so exciting !

  • LIZZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • FUCKIN SICK!!!!!!!!

  • best lizzy song ever

  • Doesn't everyone know the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a fucking joke?

Any hall of fame that lets in Madonna is shit.

  • @alreadytaken334 Well put, it is more like the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame if anything. No disrespect to the great bands inducted who actually deserve it, but Lizzy has just as much if not more talent.

  • why are we talking about metallica, who cares lol. i know they did whiskey in the jar, so what....thin lizzy is one band really missed, especially phil lynott...

  • well said

  • @KOSMICKEN09 plus they did a bad cover of it..metallica doing thin lizzy makes me sick

  • @KOSMICKEN09 at least Metallica didn't ruined the song

  • @KOSMICKEN09 I agree 25 years ago we lost one too many great mucisians. R.I.P Phil.

  • @KOSMICKEN09 And Lizzy never sued their fans!

  • @KOSMICKEN09 and garry more

  • @KOSMICKEN09 Well can we at least talk about Gothic Slam? They're an 80's underground Thrash Metal band that covered this song well. But one problem..The song was a little faster than this.

  • @666deathghost Their version is actually really good. I've heard the guys from Thin Lizzy quite like it and think they did a great job as well. So that is much more appealing than people talking about Metallica haha. This song is magnificent.

  • The Black Album was a simplification. The songs were punchier, more digestible. I don't get into it as much as I did back then, I think in part because half the album got so much airplay. I got sick of hearing Enter Sandman, Unforgiven. Oh well, I don't want to go too far off track. I didn't truly discover Lizzy until the mid 90's.

  • There's plenty of other bands to get excited about besides Metallica. They've been yesterday's news to me for 15 years. Just when Load came out and disappointed me, I started to get into bands like Skyclad, Entombed, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Opeth, etc. There's plenty of other bands to listen to besides Metallica.

  • wow lemmy would be proud

  • horrible underrated band, never get their deserved respect, i mean look at the scene now, more than 99% of the current top rock bands ain't got shit on this guys with Lynott's legacy around. He's a true legend.

  • @sexparty2 damn right thin lizzy should be in the rock and roll hof but of course hard rock/heavy metal bands get treated like shit when it comes to the rock n roll hof.

  • not really;I ment to say;where are those good bands from the past;and why aren't there any more in the new generation......

  • Tell me the legends of long ago

  • phil used to go to my dads friends house lol if only he was still alive, i might have been able to meet him :D

  • almost like motorhead..this rules

  • Awesome song , awesome band , awesome Voice .....Phil Lynott Forever !!!

  • so cool!!!!!!

  • This is gona be the song i'm listening to before i hit town on a saturday night from now on. Getting drink down my neck, having a dance and chasing the women haha

  • Metallica should have covered this.

  • You know what... They freaking should!

  • i'm happy they didn't because metallica would butcher this..

  • @cadfog why the fuck are u mentioning gaytallica on a damn thin lizzy masterpiece?! besides even if metallica covered this song they would have fucked up so bad. fuck gaytallica. thin lizzy kicks the shit out of them!

  • @chiaromontestephen-Because Metallica already covered one of their songs, which was essentially a cover of a cover. It would be cool for the Lizzy legacy to have a band of Metallica's fame and stature cover a Lizzy song, especially if it became a rock radio hit. There are loads of bands that should cover Lizzy. Metallica are but one, and I as a metal fan have shaken my head in disapproval of them as much as anyone. Death Magnetic was pretty good though.

  • well i will say this: death magnetic is a whole lot better than st. anger! i hated st. anger. but at least metallica is attempting to get back to their thrash roots that made them great back with burton in the 80s. hopefully, their next album will be even better. i mean death magnetic is ok but there is still something not quite right yet with metallica.

  • @chiaromontestephen-St. Anger was a grower for me. I liked it more as I listened to it, especially after not listening to it for a while. I think Metallica's last truly great album was And Justice For All. The s/t I liked at the time since it was exciting for me to see a band like that break, but while it's still solid, I don't buy into as much as I did back then. Plus the songs were overplayed and still are by rock radio. Load and Reload pretty much sucked. Garage Inc. was a mixed bag for me.

  • well ur right about load and reload but ur forgetting about the black album. that album was pretty damn good even though it wasnt thrash. but i just don't understand why metallica didn't follow up on the roots of the black album to make load and reload good records too.

  • @chiaromontestephen-The Black Album (the s/t) wasn't bad. Again, I liked it more at the time because it was cool to see them become huge like that. I'm old enough to remember them from before they ever made a video. Only serious metalheads knew of cared about Metallica as they were essentially playing hard, technical NWOBHM (speed metal). Now people that don't like metal like Metallica. I was shocked to hear Enter Sandman on the radio. Nowadays, modern rock stations around here play "Battery."

  • God damn this song is exciting. Then that solo hits you, like a hammer.

  • best fucking solo i have ever hear, Metal to the core!!

  • Phil Lynott & John Sykes. True rock GODS!!!

  • It´s from 1982-83

  • from what year is that?

  • didnt know thin lizzy could be this heavy

    pure pwnage

  • just another reason why they were so good and yet so underrated for their versatility as a rock band (they had cool meaningful ballads, solid rock songs then they could let loose with more heavy shit bordering on metal). i guess just like guinness-brilliant.

  • @fourclawrider Fucking idiot!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AMAZING! AMAZING!! AMAZING!! I love to crank this song during storm chasing in the car!! Thin Lizzy...Everything they touched turned GOLD!! God Bless you Phil!

  • sykes just comes in and kills it with the solo

  • I was 15 when I first heard this, 1980 something...f==king still great

  • ahh, that solo melted my face off, i felt my face oozing off when it started

  • I knew this band only by name for quite a long time. But now i really discovered them. Probably one of the most exiting heavy rock acts of all time. And important rock with roll. There's enough roots in this kind of music. Certainly you'll miss it in nowerdays rockacts. Martin

  • it's in fact a concession to the new bands that time like saxon or iron maiden...

but i'm impressed about the power of this song...this is Thin lizzy!! it has all to let the adrenalin flow

  • epic song man..

  • BEST SOLO EVER!!!

  • Love this song, it's god damn exciting! ;)
