The reality is that the US is still currently the worlds largest economy with Japan in 2nd and China 3rd. The US by far has the world's largest single national economy. China is a DISTANT second. The EU's economy is slightly larger than the US, but the EU is made up of several countries so its really not a fair comparison. The EU's economy is slightly larger than the US, but the EU is made up of several countries so its really not a fair comparison. There may be a American Union with Canada and Central and South America and possibly a single currency, the Amero. Check this out on youtube. You make valid points but remember, if US produces items it doesn't buy from China, that creates jobs in US, which puts more people to work, giving them more money to spend. Also, Chinese labor costs are rising dramatically and even China is outsourcing now. US and China both need each other. To believe anything else is an illusion. China must keep exports high and Yuan low
to maintain high employment. China also cannot cash in or stop buying US debt

Actually, that's overblown. The Chinese CANNOT sell or STOP BUYING US debt.
If they do, they're currency will rise as dollar will drop in value, yuan will rise, making
their exports more expensive, causing layoffs, plant closings, even possibly political
upheaval. Also, Chinese debt represents only about 15% of all US debt and it's nowhere near 5 trillion; more like 1.2 trillion. Also, remember this: our Air Force and Navy would clean China's plow in a war.

The Chinese army may be much larger than US army in manpower, but they'd be smashed from the air in a war and the US would rules the skies. Canada GDP per capita: 38,600
China GDP per capita: 5,400
A typical canadian earns 7 times more than a typical Chinese, not 20.
There are 300 million Chinese farmers, not 1 billion.
Neither country is going down the toilet, however China's economy is growing faster than any country in history while Canada is in a recession. China's GDP is 5.5 times larger than Canada's. China is vastly superior to Canada economically, militarily, politically.

true communism requires a bit of faith in order to work. It's incompatable with the western view of 'everything for yourself'. but in communities that emphasise the idea of unity and mutual gain, communism works. Think of african tribes, their entire social structure encourages members to share and help each other out as opposed to hording resources for the individual.
