I'm stuck between EOTech's flip to side and Aimpoint's LaRue 3x magnifier. Has your magnifier flipped back into place, say if you were holding the rifle sideways or making any rapid movements?
Quick question if you know whats the diffrence with the FN2000 and FS2000? Or is it just diffrent names for the same gun? And also how do u get the rails on it?
@christower50 No such thing as the FN2000. It's easy to get the manufacturer's name mixed in with it. They're the F2000 and FS2000 (both made by FN). But yeah, as he said, the F2000 is the full auto, military version.
@uttoushii It's got low recoil- and the short length of the firearm helps you manage the recoil better. This is a video of my friend dicking around with one of my firearms- his stance sucks but we weren't saving private ryan or anything like most internet operators do every day of their lives.
The worse thing about the FS2000 is that the trigger sucks. Even with the steel trigger plate mod, it still blows. Don't let anyone out there tell you otherwise..
@McFlintoid Oh, I'm no expert. My first experience "with the gun" was CoD, where it suffered from monstrous recoil/ muzzle climb, despite being counter-intuitive about everything about the weapon. I can see that the shooter's stance isn't like, military perfection or whatever, but I wasn't trying to be a smart-ass. Just honestly wondering if that might be the cause of the recoil. So thanks, and sorry if I came off like another internet expert, hah. What's wrong with the trigger?
@uttoushii No worries. I was kind of generally responding to everyone's criticism of my friend's poor stance, not just you necessarily. My apologies.
The trigger isn't as nice as a traditional rifle because of the long linkage between it and the action. On a traditional rifle, the fire control group is closer to the action of the rifle, or where the hammer strikes the firing pin. Since the action is close to your shoulder, the link between it and the trigger is long.
@McFlintoid and this causes it to be less efficient. The designers of the rifle played some nice tricks with mechanics- the moment arm for the acting force applied from the trigger to the action is short, so lots of force isn't required by your finger to work it. It's the fact that there are additional parts interfacing with eachother in the trigger assembly that makes it "not as nice." More parts = more contact surfaces = more friction. So it's kind of a gritty trigger pull.
@McFlintoid Well I knew (or could infer I suppose) that much about the trigger :P Does it have a negative impact on the gun's/ trigger's performance? I know some people prefer their triggers heavy or light. Does the F2000 not accommodate for that, or is it a poor trigger for other reasons? Lag, long pull, does it wiggle or anything crazy like that?
If u unload the magazine with a round still chambered and cock the charging handle will it push the loaded round out the ejection port like a normal rifle or do you have to clear it through the chamber inspection port behind the rear sight ?
It will push the unfired round out of the ejection port just like a spent case. The FS2000 doesn't eject "like a normal rifle." It sends all of the spent cases down the ejection tube so that it can dump out of the front of the gun. If you hand cycle the rifle with unfired rounds they will dump out of the same place as the spent cases after the rifle cycles while being fired.
@DramaticGnome1210 Yes, if you pull the magazine and there is still a round chambered then all you do is put the gun in safe and then pull on the charging handle and let it fly forward. Then to be on the safe side you can pull the CH again and lock it back and open up the inspection port and peak in just to be sure the gun is cleared.
the foregrip is that aftermarket and how is relibeilty

@christower50 FN2000 is the automatic version. FS2000 is the semi-auto version of the platform.

@McFlintoid Oh alright The more i know lol, How does this gun shoot? Im pretty sure the FS2000 would be legal in canada since full auto is illegal.

Seems to have a lot of recoil for a 5.56. Blame your stance/ experience, or is it a light gun/ in need of a compensator?
uttoushii 5 months ago
@uttoushii And the fact that Bullpups usually have a lot of recoil, but a better posture could eliminate some of the recoil

@uttoushii He is in a very weak shooting stance. Embarrassing for a gun of that quality actually.

@THEKINGOFMETROPOLIS Correct on the shooting stance. It's poor.
