In my opinion, I Iike this version better. Listen to the beautiful interchange between brother Sam and Paul Foster. You can really feel the glory in their voices. You can also hear the pain of 300 years of oppression. It gets no better than this...With that being said, Brendan McFarlane's version is mind-blowing!!! It gave me goose-bumps! That young man has a bright future ahead of him.

I really think Brenden MacFarlane is such a talented kid! His voice is AMAZING. BUT WITH THAT BEING SAID: I could tell who the young and new generation people are typing these comments. Although you may "prefer" or like Brenden's version better, you couldn't possibly understand how the original is better. I don't have enough time to explain. But this is a LEGEND we are talking about. Sam Cooke. But yes, Brenden did the song justice.
