Holy crap. Even if you go with the notion that they are completely natural, it's still fucking up our skies. The shadow from is from the plane and the angle of the sun, kind of reflecting off the bottom of the upper haze.

@ella5024 because the planes follow designated flight paths, you are seeing the plane fly into the trail left from the previous plane. It creates a shadow because it is dust that the planes are releasing. Dust is solid material wich creates a shadow.

Excellent work, the dark shadow in front of the spraying chem plane is strange. I usually see them behind or above the aerosol and I thought that is was from the sun reflection off the chemtrail. Global warming what's that?

@jambuckerwarblast thats not a "beam" and its not being "shot" from the plane, its a shadow created by the dust released from the previous plane, they follow the same flight paths.

It's not vapour but tiny ice crystals just like any other cloud. That's why they're called contrails, ie condensation trails. Just like any other cloud, sometimes they persist and spread, sometimes they don't. Sometimes you'll see them in one area of the sky and not another. Meteorologists understand cloud formation. Doesn't anyone ever wonder why meteorologists and pilots don't claim that chemtrails exist?

@BrainChild666 - Darkness is an absence of light. How do we create an area of reduced light-level on a sunny day? By blocking the sun and casting a shadow. Contrails cast shadows. Didn't you know that?

When a shadow is cast through a medium it's called a volumetric shadow and creates these "black beams" you describe. When a plane crosses the apparent disc of the sun leaving a contrail it may also cast a volumetric shadow into the sky.

This is before the chemtrail appears so there is no shadow to cast the beams are in front of the chemtrails. Sometimes they just turn off the beam. Really weird stuff.

@BrainChild666 - The black beam APPEARS to be projected in front of the plane but we see it this way because of perspective. It will only appear this way when the sun is behind the plane and the plane has passed in front of the sun (from the perspective of the viewer). I appeared in a presentation on this very topic and demonstrated how contrails can cast shadows into the air in front of the plane. it's simple physics that school-children can understand.
