@Slangsta01 it looks like regular rock 'quartz' crystal. When quartz is squeezed it releases a small amount of electricity for a split second, but also works in reverse, applying a small charge too it causes it to slightly twist. This allows for easy clocks and used in radios as well :) I would assume applying a charge this high to it would result in it fracturing due to vibrations.
Ive considered how to utilise large quartz crystals in alternate ways electronically. This method seems more primitive than using a high EMF air core inductor or solenoid as quartz in this state is for the most part non conductive..
The inductor would with an alternating current create a field within the quartz..
The next trick I would imagine would be to scale the length of frequencies to detect a resonant effect .
The pyramid, exists of a rock crystal ?

You better return that to the Pylon or Marshal, will or Holley may never go home!

Crookes invented that effect one century ago

Come on guys, this effect is just UV produced by the electron flux on a Fluorine Crystal... this exist for decades.. take a look at Crookes Tubes!

try the crystal in a airless glass tube...than run the power

After the crystal began glowing blue I thought that an interdimensional portal was about to open! :D Looks cool!

It looks like you are getting some electrolumunescence from the crystal.Sort of like a giant LED.

Is the crystal generating a magnetic field? Simply holding a compass needle nearby should demonstrate that!

Hey Hutch why don't ya look into Herbertsmithite, hack reality:.

@WAX1138 why would you say that? why "hack reality"?

Its a metal plate. You plug it into 230V , there it goes. The crystal is not producing electricity but consuming, so easy!

Hey what type of crystal is that?

interesting that is the same way a lightsaber possibly works....even though star wars is fiction

He's using a crystal that doesn't conduct very well to bridge a high voltage gap.
