It went all the way through to the end. It just didn't have proper lighting or anything adjusted before the skit was preformed because they didn't get a chance to do a rehersal on the stage

Nope. They didn't get any time to practice the skit on stage before preforming or get lighting adjusted so we didn't know that it would look cut off at the end.
