Ok, I will not deny the fact that Russia and China kicked ass in WW2, but if it were not for America attacking and annihilating the Japanese army in the Pacific, Japan could have turned their full force on China and won, and if it were not for America and Britain taking Normandy and then France, then Germany could have turned their full force on Russia and won after the defeat at Stalingrad.

@Gorjessice fighting in the vast land of China was very much different from fighting in tiny Pacific islands, particularly with the kind of weaponry in ww2. Unlike today's warfare, army was the key. The army of japs could be stretched very very thin over China's massive land of over 9 million sq km and they should be outnumbered by Chinese soldiers.
@1169Timothy On this I'll have to disagree on some parts, Germany lost the war when they tried to take on Russia, well they had major success early on, but once the Russians shifted the bulk of their army from the eastern garrisons to the western front, it was inevitable that Russia would come out on top. The battle of Kursk, Stalingrad, those were the proving grounds, and even without the allies, Russia would manage well.

The only reason why the Germans lost at Stalingrad was because Hitler was obsessed with taking the city, he ordered his Generals to take the city at all costs and so they pushed hard into the city and took its center. The Russians then surrounded the city and slowly but surly beat them.

Not only did it become a major blow to the Germans but was also a huge morale boost for the allies, well if we take it from there, any victory against the Wehrmacht would've been a huge blow to the Germans and a morale boost for the allies. And Stalingrad was the first major victory.
But it wold still be very arrogant for the Kremlin to say that it did not need the aid of the allies to defeat Germany in WW2. Can you imagine what the outcome would be if Germany could have focused ALL of her forces on the Soviets alone?

So yeah, if Germany only had 1 enemy to focus on they would've taken over Soviet Russia. But they declared on America and this boosted the allies' firepower, Britain before Germany's declaration against America, was not a large threat, it did stall Germany's European conquest, but that was it. So the real problem was the declaration of war against America by the Germans.
