I used to see this commercial very early in the morning on Nickelodeon. I was never scared. I thought the music sounded a little jazzy.

this scares me as much now as it did in 1990 . when i see this today, my heart skips a beat and i race to the remote to change the chanel, it comes on a lot right before the twilight zone on the syfy channel.

I agree! I always felt there was something a little bit frightening about this commercial that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I feel... less weird now that somebody else senses it!

It's all good man. Don't feel weird, I'm scared of some other logos... it's how they presented them at the time, Like old Viacom logo that made like weird synth like sound with chimes at the end, or the F.H.E logo that comes from the blue and plays this ear killing xylophone music. But it is this Cable in the Classroom one that takes the cake for me.
