In fact I think that you only declared war on Germany, Italy and Japan after they declared war on the US. You were pretty late to start in World War II but I suppose you are making up for it by being especially early for World War III.

Leaving Iraq is not a responsible action, now we should only leave when Iraq can take care itself. It is only because of advances in front line medical training and technology that have prevented more deaths. If technology and training had not advanced since WWII, I am sure many, many more soldiers would have died. Iraq won't be able "to take care of itself" at least until after August, since the Iraqi parliament has decided to take the month off for a vacation. Nice to know our blood and money is "buying them the time" to get some much needed rest. Imagine Washington taking a month off at Valley Forge, or Lincoln taking the month after Gettysburg. Then ask yourself if these Iraqi politicians are worth one more drop of American blood, one more cent of American money.
