  • jupiter and mars!!!:)

  • mythbuster made this and they fail hahahha

  • u can make thousands maby even millions with that

  • QUERO UM DESSE PRA MIM

  • didn't myth buster try this?

  • the key to building personal flying machines is making them as fuel efficient and as fast as possible. Perhaps we could be crossing the north atlantic ocean is machines like this one day. With advancements in propulsion technology. At the moment what dictates size the most is the space need for lots of fuel. If we can overcome that then crossing the atlantic on small minature aircraft will be possible.

  • thats not a jetpack thats a propellorpack :D, stil would be nice to have one of these :3

  • (You'll need something better to "fly you to the moon")

  • Crap design you suck

  • i think the world can make a personal flying vehicle but they are just to lazy

like this if your an inventor or want to be an inventor to build these

  • The glide ratio would suck.

  • Looks like something from G.I. Joe.

  • cool leaf blower

  • i have one but in white....

  • i want a go...

  • DEATH TRAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cody Banks?

  • I hope he lives across the street from his job

  • Old pats going to the store to buy milk with these things one day. You'll see.

  • flying BBQ grill hahahahahahahhahahaha

  • thats the same concept as the Martin Jetpack design, but it's cool to see someone else doing it .. very clever too ... thumbs up ..

  • 10 years time we be laffing our asses off at this monstrosity...

  • DEAR SANTA

  • they should call this thing the wasp

cause it sounds like a swarm of them

  • looks like a flying bbq grill, amazing what a hillbilly can do with a pair of junk push-mowers

  • Well is this real? Mythbusters try to build a very similar machine, it did not work! On the show they show a device that looks similar and worked, but cost millions! Have a look at Flying platform, those work, but only carry limited fuel.

  • I'm sorry, but i don't think you can call this a jetpack anymore.

It looks more like a small 1 man helicopter.

Don't want to hate, just my opinion.

  • waaait a second...why is the grass and dust being kicked up in such a large radius in FRONT of the craft? If it was moving forward, wouldn't the dust and grass be blowing around BEHIND it? I am also skeptical about the engine noise. It's suspiciously quiet.

  • How were you able to resolve the thrust to weight issues presented in Mythbusters? Is this using more aviation-grade materials?

  • Feels like the Wright Brothers all over again.

  • I want one to blow the leaves off my lawn and have fun doing it !!!!!!

  • Wow - that looks secure and stable.

  • I would fly this to work on the week days and on the week ends, mow the lawn with it.

  • dear santa..

  • That looks scary as hell. No wonder he only goes ten feet off the ground.

  • what kind of fuel does it use?

  • I was expecting Snoopy, Linus, Sally, Charlie Brown, Lucy and Peppermint Patty to scurry past the scene at any moment.

  • @kevilinsky Haha yeah the music kinda gave me that feel aswell.

  • What is it with man's fascination of flying about 5ft off the ground at less than walking pace? Some stilts would provide the same view.

  • air segway!

  • ... "...In other-rr worr-rrds, 'I-II love....'..."- Myth Busters! Theirs almost got away...

I'm a cripple, I NEED one of these!

  • So refreshing to watch a video without DEATH METAL pounding away in the background

  • ...mmm..the moon is far away...eheh

  • that's noisy.. i dont think he could hear that piano music

  • @dscrd1

    ROTFL

  • Это карлосон !!! ))))))

  • they have a lot more advanced things then this.....they just dont show it to the public ..

  • crappy ass camera work and so is his copter

  • but WHY aren't the big motor companies making lots of them? it's been proved possible, now they just need to ctrl+c ctrl+v and start the production

  • Seems a little unstable, compared to the W.A.S.P. anyway.

  • So simple a caveman can do it.

  • LOL and don't get me started on the music.

  • this is a piston propellor pack NOT a jet pack

  • haha someone has finally done it!

  • GREAT !

  • martin jetpack pwns

  • Yeah im gonna say that these are really not that practical. It would only take 30 or 40 crashes to change peoples minds. Did you see how close to your fucking dome those props are?? Yeah wreck that and live through a propellar through the eye! These are just toys for the rich mostly.

  • this is just a zimmer frame with two fans bought from argos.

  • thats cheating, they did not let us hear how loud it was

  • The program was cancelled for lack of funding. Interesting concept, but totally impractical. Too many safety issues to work out. The prototype was decommissioned and put up for sale in a non-flyable condition. Knightsix

  • that thing would be cool to have.. but in my opinion its really not practical or necessary. It would be a hassel to have to learn how to operate it, repair it and keep it maintained.

  • all this thinks can't autorotate. engine failiure=death.

  • you'd hope that they plan to incorporate a ballistic parachute.

  • Yes i can read it's fourth generation. I'm assuming better blace design. Possible enhancement with more hoursepower as well as duct design. Basic stab package would enhance stability. Nicely done

  • Interesting What did they do that the mythbusters didnt?

  • @viperjet9038

    this is fourth generation

mythbusters tried once and failed where these people kept at it

    thats the difference

  • Could be painful if one rotor dies.

  • interesting concept. Re the comments by "Wickedinsight"" must be nice to be perfect

  • Is that helicopter rotors?

  • make it faster, paint it red, giv it a cup holder and ill ride it 2 work

  • That's one hell of a leaf blower!

  • I see this thing and I think of the terminator ships...

  • Is each engine controlled separately?

    Very cool

  • I disagree, Obses1... great jazz music. Keep the twin-fan helo though. ;-)

  • Looks like a flying saw horse.

  • lmao hell naw, wont see me using that thing

  • what amazes me is it takes years to build an awesome flying machine like this, but yet they cannot invest in a nice camera and someone to take a video, i just dont understand..........

  • @wickedinsight they were probly way over budget just to get as far as they did.

  • @wickedinsight mabye all their money was spent on this project

  • @wickedinsight It obviously means they're 100% focused on the flying machine :P

  • @DjinnJuggler it would be like NASA landing on Mars and not having great video equipment to show off their findings and years of research,,,, doesn't make sense

  • @wickedinsight I don't think so.. the point of going to mars is that we CAN'T, so one of the mission purposes would be to take pictures, this on the other hand, they're only trying to make a product, which isn't to important to see as long as you have proof it works..

  • @DjinnJuggler what they have created is breathtaking and should be displayed beautifully for the world to see, this camera they used is pretty sad, if i knew sooner, i would of bought them a camera

  • @DjinnJuggler u didn't read the newspapers lately? there is going a manned trip to mars

  • @hebbent Personally I think sending people is a waste of effort, because humans are lots harder to keep alive than robots.. I don't want to argue though

  • @DjinnJuggler too bad u don't want to argue but a manned trip can do more humans are better than robots

  • @hebbent I think first of all if you wait about 5 years robots will be several times more advanced, and you still think humans could do better with all the food and air they need to take? And assuming they want to live, they'd have to come back, so that's nearly twice as much fuel!

  • @DjinnJuggler well since humans landed on the moon and invented technology as advanced as robots then i think people can land or maybe even colonize mars

  • @parkerparsons40 When we landed on the moon, the robots we had wouldn't have been as good as people.. Really I think we should've waited, but we where trying to beat the Russians to it.. And it's going to take awhile to get enough air to colonize mars.. especially since our earth air isn't even so great anymore.

  • @wickedinsight they wonder why they never got the funding they need

  • @wickedinsight he was trying to make a good flying machine not a good youtube video

  • @wickedinsight Or a proper visual communications designer/team to put together the proper audio video presentation such that we aren't listening to elevator muzak while we watch this thing fly. Between the crap resolution and the music we're forced to listen to, I don't know what would be worse... listening/watching this for eternity or burning in hell.

  • @wickedinsight typical engineers.

  • totally crab! one person helicopter is much worth of that and it works!

  • If someone asks a question while flying this thing. Don't raise your hand.

  • Why the gay music?? i'd rather hear the craft and some informed commentary.

  • the gay music is for the gay thing floating around at walking pace

  • Not that sure, I'm pretty sure the Hiller platform is a pretty good machine. een around a long time and probably as a longer range then the Wasp, not to mention just because the tech is from the 1950's doesn't mean it doen't do the job. Either way if the engine gooes out on any of these (including the Wasp) its going to drop like a rock.

  • the wasp is revolutionary i dnt kno y ppl keep making more attemps to do these things wen da wasp has already proven to be the best personal flying machine

  • That's what I'll ask Santa for this Christmas.

  • Excellent presentation. Improved product stability. Significant sound reduction over past models.

  • That thing looks real clumsy, why not just license the WASP design?

  • Thus music sounds as a joke to this video, although who knows - maybe someday it will Fly to the moon :)

  • i don't think so.... you need a rocket engine to go to the moon, a fan motor can't afford extratmosphere flight! XD

  • Haven't you seen smile ? :)

  • yes, actually it was a specification without any aggressive intention ; )

  • technically propellers can't move an object in space... sry to say theres no trip to the moon in this thing lol :P

  • What are you saying ? Is it truth ? Oh my God ! ; )

P.S. haven't you heard song "fly me to the moon" ?

  • gayass

  • at 3000 feet, out of gas

  • lol

    faceplant!

  • @sonicspeed011 hahha the place to be !

  • @sonicspeed011

    your awesome

  • How much thrust is being output to "float"? What is its max thrust, untested of course?? Thank you very much

  • mythbusters tried to build such sing but they got shit. u have the result - bravo

  • Mythbusters do some cool stuff, but a lot of their stuff is ridiculous. I have actually seen people do things that they say are busted. They have stunt man experience, and they are pretty handy around the shop, but they are not scientists. They need to learn that because they slept in a holiday inn last night, does not make then know it alls that actually know it all... But, some of their stuff is good. :)

  • cloce to martin jetpack???????

  • 挺好

  • Cool when does it finish it's FFA trials?

  • @joed2024

personally built aircrafts don't require FAA aprovals, but yeah, for marketing purposes I suppose.
