I think Russia will do very well in the long run since it has like 40% of the worlds natural gas by itself and is now the number 1 oil producer due to cuts in saudi arabia. This US economic mess will blow over sooner or later.
By the way Georgia is Christian - so if you are a muslim in chechnya thinking Georgians will hug u if u get independance I would think again. If Russia weakens in the regionn Georgians will kill you im sure just like they did their own in s ossetia.
