Will the government pay my bills when my health care costs eclipse my taxes? I think not. I request that you stop _competing_ with the President. Work with all of congress and work it out with the speaker. I want a public option. I don't know anyone in your district who doesn't. Fix this. Today, I see you as the bureaucrat between me and my doctor. I ask you to drop your bill and work with speaker Pelosi.
@gr33nman No, you misunderstand- The bureaucrat between you & your doctor is the one that Obama's bunch will appoint, as is mandated in this outrageous, unconstitutional "health"care bill those Marxist Democrats just passed.
@Gerts4th Yeah... 'marxist' - such a warm, 'fuzzy' term. I bet *you* are willing to cross party lines. All government is socialist to some degree. Citizenship is a social contract with your fellow citizens. We are all socialists whether you want to accept it or not. Build bridges - not walls. 40% of the people who disapproved of the health care bill did so because it didn't go *far enough* toward a public option. If 50% approved the bill, that means most people would prefer the bill to pass.
you know my tax dollars go for nothing in this country that I want I would like to have health care for the ones that do not have it, I would love to see my tax dollars going to programs in our country.
Question is, how long will the ins. co. 's keep that little bone balanced on your nose. Dr. Broun's slobbering is all based on an interesting little premise..the one that assumes PEOPLE ARE EMPLOYED AND HAVE MONEY to do all this neat little things like saving for health care and catastrophic events.
People are already bankrupted by your plans, and nearly on the ropes from the blood suckers you work for. You better insure yourself, ...for a pitchfork from the assedectomy.
What was the name of the Health Insurance Lobbyist who wrote this speech for Dr. Broun? I'd like to email this lobbyist to let him know that constituents of Big Health Care, such as Dr. Broun, are doing a fantastic job of reciting word for word what they were paid to do. Kudos to Dr. Broun, Kudos to Big Health Care! Together, you've given America a chance to make thoughtless, uninformed votes! Kudos!
I agree with most of what you said. However, I have read the bill and don't see where the government comes between the doctor and the patient. Also, the most important issue about medical coverage in this country is something nobody ever talks about. So, I'm going to mention it here.
The U.S. medical business model is based on the fact that sick patients will pay anything to get better. Consequently, we see sky-high fees for everything, including drugs at $150 a bottle. Even cold medicine is expensive. In the dentist's chair is cost something like $1,400 for a crown and $800 for a filling.
Glasses cost $400 to $600 when they should cost no more that $99. Sure, the public will pay anything not to stumble into doors and walls and not to be run over by a truck. That's the problem with the medical business -- charge whatever the market will bare. Medical practitioners are not after a fair profit. They want that yacht and that second and third home.
All my doctors and my dentist are multi-millionaires and they want to keep it that way. At the same time, my insurance company is constantly looking for ways NOT to pay my claims and I have to fight them every month. This is what is not being said and I think we need to talk about this and not just beat around the bush.
What a sarcastic creep. This is seious Dr. Broun. Have you forgotten the Hippocratic Oath? Get your hand out of the insurance man's pocket and put your heart in the betterment of your constituents. Afterall who pays for your health insurance?
This is no laughing matter and it is deeply insulting to witness your smugness on the subject.
get a clue. be real. think outside your tiny minded box.
It involves reigning in greedy ambulance chasing lawyers like John Edwards(tort reform). It involves regulation of the greedy insurance companies so they cannot cap payouts, refuse payment, refuse insurance due to pre-existing conditions & cannot drop people who become ill or dictate to doctors what care to give.
It also involved getting the illegal aliens out of our Country & refuseing to give care to those who stay.
Democrats wouldn't do any of those things. Illegals & lawyers are thier pals
So far, no other plan has been allowed to come to the forefront. Tell the media to do their job by asking questions. Then we will hear the other plans being presented.
key word (lower quality) can you say, veterans hospital ? just ask some veterans about the care they get in some of these god forsaken hospitals-if you want to call them that,
and when a doctor makes a mistake you get to go up against the government
Two Samarian walked pass the injured man...
I take this personal. I take the rhetoric to save a buck when all we ever seem is money given to Banks, Stock Markets and Corporate Farm subsities.
Bank....GOVERNMENT HELP
STOCK MARKET...GOVERMENT HELP
Lobbyist like the convence of asking for help when they need it...or should I say when then WANT it...
over 70% of the country wanted the health reform WITH THE PUBLIC OPTION. Even Rasmussen Poll admits 54% with the Public Option..
How can you lie...

Dr. Broun mentioned that the GOP has a healthcare plan. I would love to see it. Let's make it public so that everyone can read it.
