im having a diffferent problem, the startbar search works but my folder search car doesnt do anything anymore.

basicly i can type in anything i want into it but it doesnt do anything, driving me crazy, never really realised how much i actually use that :S

@DragonGuard1337 i actually found my problem for anyone that might be wondering about this in the future.

for some reason the search was disabled.

Control panel > administrative tools > services > windows Search

Start it and it should work again.

You can also let windows do it by going into

Conrol panel > troubleshooting > view all > search and indexing

i think the problem is similar to a blue screen were a registry key gets corrupted.
