Google Jeff Hawkins' blog "Counterfeit Dreams," an excellent read, superbly written by a 35 yr EX-member at the highest levels. I know he was at least OT III.
He was also responsible for the Dianetics book sales BOOM in the 1980's when he was in charge of Planetary Dissemination or Book sales Marketing. The CMU (Central Marketing Unit). He knew LRH personally & was trained on the Apollo when Ron was there training execs on the FEBC.

I didn't "complete" OT 7---but I DID ask Davey boy and RTC to let me off the level. Would they let me? Hell no. DM announced, instead, that "ALL OT 7's HAD BEEN TRAINED WRONG, needed to go back to the beginning, and pay $25,000 to do it!" That was THE END for me.

OT VIII covers removing the "false" past lives via the meter and includes a test on the History of Man book.
There are 15 OT levels, and OT8 is the first "real" OT level. Only up to 8 has been released. The Sea Org claims hubbard finished them all, but there is no way to know for sure.

I've read Hubbard's Mission Earth series and Battlefield Earth. I've also read Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead. Isn't the Church of Scientology Hubbard's attack on religion? My grandmother seemed to think so, of course she hated Ayn Rand too.

Signofthedollar: Ayn Rand used fiction to set down her "philosophy" (Objectivism). Hubbard's fiction, on the other hand, was meant to entertain. He did infuse his sci-fi with many of his own views and opinions, some of which correspond with his Scientology teachings. BE and ME really have little to do with Scientology except for the anti-psych stance in the books. I personally thought BE could be cut by 1/3, and ME is unreadable (and about as amusing as a child molester).
