@IWS15 Yes Recology only uses Toter brand carts. They own the rights to the discontinued EVR-I manual 64 and 96 gallon carts which is why San Francisco continues to get them while no one else can. Other cities under their local Recology branch n Northern California use EVR-II carts if automated.
If it wasn't for the faded Sunset Scavenger sign on these trucks and the fact that I've known of them for the last million years, I wouldn't think they were old. This split MSL collection method continues to interest me, and I bet if I showed some of the Aussie drivers this, they would be totally stumped! lol Seeing the parked cars and the carts on the kerbside, I wonder what would happen if there was no gap between cars to move the carts to the truck for a decent distance? hehe :P Nice work!!!
does toter make any other 32 or smaller cans i know they have a 20 gal insert but i was at the bin yard for recology san mateo and they had a can 32gal or smaller that looked like an evrii but it had a slanted lid i will go back there with my camera and try to get some better pics today
@r6man2 no infact you didnt forget to mention its split! But i must have forgot to mention you NEED TO UPLOAD IT ASAPPPPP!!!!!!! LOL how much footage did you get? I sure hope you got a lot.
@r6man2 I think it's an '03, I remember seeing it years ago before it even had a route number or even the Sunset Scavenger sign on it and it was brand new at the time. Guess it never found a permanent route to call home. =/
On the bright side this truck gets to travel or bum around the yard a lot. BD
You know, I kind of miss this truck now, even though it had no home, it became my route truck for about a year until a new Heil took its place.
