There is no way that could be a Great White in Matawan Creek now. A Bull Shark was probably the real culprit. Great Whites cannot survive in freshwater at all. Bull Sharks are even more aggressive and can be in fresh, brackish and ocean water.
They r sooo cool though I was watching a show and it had 2001 shark attacks on it and there was a ten year old boy that got attacked by a bull shark and it was fatal I was really sad he would have been 19 but he died when he was ten it's crazy oh yea and it had an eight year old boy that got his Arm bitten off by a bull shark and they took the arm out of the shark and put it back on and it had no infection and he survived and his arm works sorry it's sooooo long!!!!!

Indeed White Sharks do not frequent fresh water creeks - but Matawan is not really fresh water. Further, the 7.5 foot white shark caught with 15 pounds of human flesh in it's stomach was caught close to the mouth of the creek.
After the capture of the white shark no further attacks occurred. IMO that makes this white shark the most likely culprit - it is likely the shark was disabled and disoriented and was attacking prey easy for it to catch - this was a hungry shark; only 350 pounds
