@cwmyr Hey, I'm not saying they didn't know how to fight. I'm just saying that over time you expect the techniques and training to become more honed and precise. It's not an attack on old school boxing, it's just the natural consequence of things. All forms of art, technology, and even sport becomes more specialized and little inefficiencies are fixed over time like flat feet and dropping hands. Why wouldn't future fighters know better? They learn from the past and improve upon it.
