  • how can u make the butter melt and will it stick 2 the pan

  • doesnt it stick to the pan/,?

  • @AsiansAreNotC00L Heat the pan and melt a knob of butter, before adding the batter

  • Why can't they show for example what to put in. Crepes aren't crepes without anything in it. Those were just scandinavian pancaces. I wanna see a fully made crepe! :,(

  • @lisstina90 This is the base recipe, you can find other recipes on how to fill them on the Giallozafferano app!

  • @lisstina90 frikkin make it and you'll see it.

  • @lisstina90 For example, if you want a light, refreshing dessert crepe, you can melt a small pad of butter while the crepe is browning on the other side, and then put on some powdered sugar and squeeze in some lemon juice. This makes a nice, light lemon flavored icing. :)

  • the batter seems too much for me....

    can i adjust it proportionately

  • @curmeow Yes, of course! Keep in mind that this recipe makes 6 servings

  • can we use olive oil??? thanks for the videos, it's good...

  • It it high heat? Or

  • @jadegirlwoood Medium heat is fine, just wait until the pan is hot

  • Crêpes are the only things I'm really good at, though I use a different recipe from my mum, she uses the one with butter, I use butter free. woohoo!

  • what type of flour do you use?

  • @xmagsterx98 All-purpose flour

  • @yellowsaffron thanks ;)

  • lol i made one it turned into a pancake

  • and our craps are ready!!

  • My grandmother in Poland made this for me all the time and I loved them so much but never knew how to make them I'm so happy I can finally make them!!!!

  • i liked it but it was very oily

  • @Patheticpunani There is no oil in the recipe! Maybe they turn out oily because you over-grease the pan, but if you use a non-stick pan there's no need to do it at all.

  • ur hhot as creps

  • Comment removed

  • do i need to brush on some butter on the pan?

  • Thank you, Really helpful!

  • can you substitute the flour with pancake mix??

  • @pogisiG No, since you'll get pancakes instead of crepes! You can have a look at our pancake recipe though... youtube.com/watch?v=gyXuW7dfj38

  • @yellowsaffron i just made one with bread mix. its amazing how one can complicate and mess up a simple recipe!

  • when it stated 2.5cups of flour, how do u measure using normal household items like tablespoon or something else? becos i dont have a baking cup.... :(

    thanks!

  • @uniqued Can't you measure 250 g?

  • @yellowsaffron i got my measuring cups alr :)

  • @uniqued one US cup = 16 US tablespoons

  • Of course, that's only the base. As she mentions in the description, you can fill it with whatever you like. Nutella and banana is a perennial favorite, but Japanese crepes are often filled with whip cream and ice cream, and then folded a la an ice cream cone. No matter which way you fill 'em, they're super delicious!

  • why was the chef arrested? He was caught beating an egg. Haha

  • @CookingBasic hahahahha

  • my crepe is finished. :D

  • How many crepes does this recipe give?

  • @Anna17315 About 12

  • @yellowsaffron i'd eat all 12 of those...lol

  • Another great video. Gotta love this channel. Food lovers delight.

  • pancake's -.-

  • @timmy3646869 GOD, It's not fucking pancakes, they invented crepes 1700 years ago, pancakes only like 300 years ago even though some romans used to make them.. don't say pancakes it's totally different and better than american shit, even though they were made by germans, americans took them and made them into unhealthy shit

  • First time ever i see someone put the eggs last ... Well, as long as it taste great, do as you wich. Crepes are hard to fail :) *hungry now*

  • If you have no non-stick pan do you have to put butter in it? (:

  • @DeSmurfen125 Yes, a little butter or oil

  • is there a differance between crepe batter and pancake batter or is crepe french for pancake?

  • @MrNath5150 No, there are few differences: in the pancakes there is the baking powder and the egg whites are stiff, that's why they're thicker than crepes

  • @MrNath5150 I do french and Yes, crepe is french for Pancakeee///

  • my moma always uses baking soda instead of eggs... I love them either way!

  • @Rozyonnie You does, too!

  • Crap XD

  • she is talent!

  • I'll try this in my house.

  • That pan is sexy.

  • @heyimtomato you're wrong ! everything else is sexy too :D

  • What's the purpose of letting the batter rest before adding the melted butter?

  • @duezeri1968 By letting the batter rest will allow the flour to absorb the liquids and allow crepe to be smoother when cooking the batter to make crepe.

  • @gunmonkey1185 Thank you for the response. Here's to smooth crepes.

  • This dish worked out perfect for me. My boyfriend came over and we made the crepes with chocolate sauce, strawberries, bananas and whipping cream. SOOOO good :) also good if you just have butter and sugar sprinkled on top

  • oh my God looks so great, easy and yummy :)

  • no tutorials on crepe fillings?

  • @FinalJ depends what how you want to serve it. As an entrée or main course: ham, onions, mushrooms, asparagus and béchamel sauce. Dessert: strawberry, blueberry, raspberry with a topping of maple syrup, 35% cream or ice cream (all 3 if you want a sugar rush). Google it.l

  • Ooo looks great, I've been looking for a good crepe recipe!

I'm amazed that a lot of people don't know what crepes are; I guess its not as famous as I thought?

  • @Vietney most people know pancakes, though, and in most places pancakes and crepes are basically the same thing

  • Traditional crepes aren't supposed to brown...

  • @acrimsonmystique

maybe the heat was too high?

  • @Vietney add a bit of butter or oil in the pan after 2 or 3 crêpes

  • @DoomFist94 that's what a pancake is in europe yes, in usa what they call pancake is something different

  • Nice.

  • can you leave the batter over night?!!

  • @jaybee863 yes you can, 2 days max. Make sure it's covered so it can't catch the fridge odors. Don't forget to whisk it before cooking.

  • my mom makes those. tried it once, they're so hard to make for me, cuz they're so thin. mine breaks lol

  • @DoomFist94 thats how we do it too in sweden, lol, we never use yeast in ours. and we always add eggs then milk then flour.

  • @DoomFist94 pancakes have yeast in them, crepes don't.

  • @giumarziano3 Actually that's American pancakes. European pancakes are indeed all of the crepe type, without the yeast. I've yet to come across an English pancake that has that light fluffy texture that American ones have.

  • @ScreamingTc That's not American pancake!!!! Have you ever tried this recipe? They are totally different, even if the ingredients are the same!!!!!!!

  • @giumarziano3 I think you've gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick when it comes to my message.

  • @ScreamingTc

if you want to "light" them up just add baking powder and more floor...

  • @giumarziano3 in EU they don't either. :]

  • @DoomFist94 crepes are like really thin pancakes.

  • @DoomFist94 maybe its just another name... because this channel is "dubbed" version of original :]. actually there is no word "Crepes" in English dictionary, as far as I know :].

  • @Hexpigge There's such word instead: look for it on wikipedia.

  • you ain't got no pancake mix?

  • Medium Heat?
