This is probably one of the best "political" videos I have seen in this website. It's not conservative--it's not liberal--it just puts it out there without any party leanings. Though I have to admit I never heard him say during his campaign that we should get out of Afghanistan. If McCain was elected, do you there would've been the significant decrease in the number of troops (transferred to Afghanistan sure) in Iraq?

I am not trying to promote Obama here, but I feel a little conflicted because he doesn't have almighty power as the president. I mean we need to change the government everywhere and put an end to bipartison fighting in order to change things. I agree with everything in this video except for the taxes part. The tax stuff shown was from a bill that was never even considered, nor even brought up for a vote. Obama promised to lower taxes for every single person earning under 200k/year and every household couple earning less than 250k/year. And that's exactly what he did.
He's done things that I don't like (delaying closing gitmo, delaying the DADT repeal, extending the patriot act, bailing out wall st, etc) but he did hold true to his promise on taxes. Unfortunately based on his hideous foreign policy decisions around detention of foreigners, I absolutely won't support him for another term.

If he had just did what he said he was going to do then I wouldn't have had to make this video. I gave him plenty of time to end the war or at least begin to end the war. My POLS 1710 professor described the Republicans as a moderate party with conservative tendencies and the Democrats as moderates with socialist tendencies. I disagree. I feel Republicans ARE a conservative party, occasionally with fascist tendencies, and the Democrats are a popularist party.

-disbanding the CIA and NSA
-immediate withdrawal from all overseas bases, including Iraq and Afghanistan
-immediate closing of Gitmo

I agree with everything in this video except for the taxes part. The tax stuff shown was from a bill that was never even considered, nor even brought up for a vote. That mythical "HR 3200" that was used for propaganda and torn up long before the Senate passed it's draconian healthcare BAILOUT bill. Aside from that, awesome video!

Obama promised to lower taxes for every single person earning under 200k/year and every household couple earning less than 250k/year. And that's exactly what he did.
He's done things that I don't like (delaying closing gitmo, delaying the DADT repeal, extending the patriot act, bailing out wall st, etc) but he did hold true to his promise on taxes. Unfortunately based on his hideous foreign policy decisions around detention of foreigners, I absolutely won't support him for another term.

I've used the word popularist, and peope were probably thinking populist. Popularist is a term Professor Jesse used to describe Vladimir Putin's party in Russia. I won't bore you with details, popularists basically gather a large, diverse coalition, win office, and don't really believe in anything other than winning office again.

-disbanding the CIA and NSA

Whenever I hear someone say Obama is weak on terror, I want to laugh. "Strong on terror" generally means that you support a police state lite that draws its power through fear. (Heck, several claims that were made about the "communists" are now being made about "teh Muzlims, oooooohh") Obama has not closed Gitmo, isn't doing anything about torture (I was really mad at how Jon Stewart basically caved to John Yoo in his interview), is expanding the war, et al. Sounds anti fre, er, tough on terror.

While I watched and listened to this I laughed. This is exactly what I expected.
1. The terrorists obviously didn't give one thought about human rights, why should they get any?
2. If we want to leave the war in the Middle East, we don;t send 10s of 1000s of troops!
3. I saw several instances of Obama contradicting himself, and denying any taxation. What a load.

Even now Tony Blair is quoted as saying that he would've made up any story just to over throw Saddam Hussein cus they didn't like his leadership any longer.
