Well.. technically, there isn't a key of A minor. It would actually be in C.

I'm fully aware it's a minor chord, but there is no such thing as the key of A minor. If you label it as such, you're basically saying that the standard rules in theory do not necessarily apply to this piece. C is the relative minor of A so technically, the key is C.
