Julian sounds so out of place here. I guess before this I just couldn't imagine him NOT sounding bored with the world. (I mean that in a good way.) It's weird to hear this as a Strokes fan, not to say I don't like it. Actually, it's pretty sweet!

I heard that Julian was collaborating with Pharell on the new Strokes album. I hope that's not true. It's not that Pharell isn't good. He should just stick to his own venues. What I mean to say is if the next Strokes album sounds like this I'll die.

I doubt it would sound like this. He's produced The Hives, and they still sounded the same. I think he just used a sample for this one. It's not like he's going to add keyboards to their songs or something. He has respect enough for them to know not to mess with their formula too much. Seeing as how hit and miss their last album was, I think they need someone new to produce the next one.

His albums are hardly hit and his either, pharrell always tries new sounds out, and if that particular sound doesn't work for you, that is your opinion, but generally his music is really good. It's the particular new style of his music that you don't like. I have to say this also, I love the fact that he is an orginator, and not a carbon copy of everyone else out there. In today's hip hop, you here the same sound from different artist
