The stabilizer is software based, the Camcorder make a little digitalzoom in and than try to track an object by moving the Picture X,Y, in 1080 it need evry pixel, so it can not zoom in, thats the deal. In fact i dont see any stabilization but if you press the Picture Button, you will see a bigger angle and i dont think that the lenses are motorcontrolled so the softwaresolution is the most logical. Better use an Software Stabilizer Software on Computer, it will bring much more!

Do you know what format this camera uses? Because whenever i try to import my footage into any editing program it doesnt recognise it :S

@NBTvisual ITS QUICK TIME BULLSHIT; you have to convert it into some other Format "AVI" with DIVX ;).
Just use SUPER COVERTER

I`ve just read that the stabilization does not work in 1080p mode. I cant guarantee anything, but i`ve read it and I`d say its plausible.
