its true that they are auditioning mostly men, but if a female is good im sure they let her in. i think its cool to have an all-male act considering women do the aerial hoops and all the fancy stuff on static and swinging trapezes, silks, the cloud swing, chandeliers. most of its just women who do all the flying acts

i think more men should do more solo aerial acts as well as ground. its like everyday you see a male handbalancer or a male silk performance. i actually give them a hand for doing this. a male act shows stregnth and agility, while a female act shows grace and flexibility

@littletamir The power track in Alegria did have a female (the nymph). But if you see it from the acrobatic perspective, you know what this conversation is about. The main acts (solo, duo, triple trapeze, aerial hoops, silk, contortion, hoops etc) are mostly women if you look at them. Only 2 men do silk in Cirque, and its actually good for men to do them. Because some girl was complaining about only one girl in this act, she didnt see this is a chance for men to show off tricks no one ever sees.

Megg, i agree with you. Most men in aerial and ground acts are supporters. This is a chance for men to do tricks instead of supporting. There are a few aerial acts with just men but the majority are women.

@MrAerial12345 The women are also in the contortion acts. I haven't seen a contortion act without a woman, and I don't see many with men. Unless you count the family act in Varekai, you know, with the blue woman and yellow man, and the pink little kid... But I don't recall the man doing any contortions. He was just a supporter for the other two.

@100deidara001 i mean how often do you seen men perform alone (without women)? The only ones i think of are the aerial straps in varekai, the aerial cube in mystere and if i'm not mistaken, the cyr wheel and the aerial high bars act in alegria, and maybe the tournik act in corteo or the cycles act in La Nouba. If you really think about it, women are used mainly for aerial acts and the men are supporters for them. This is a chance for the men to show stuff they can do without the women.

@cirquefreak1000 True, maybe that video shows that theres only one girl working on the trapeze, and she doesnt do as much as the guys did, but the right amount of training can make girls accomplish the same things the guys can :) I've seen many girls do trapeze acts o-o I guess it's just not in this one video x_x

I love this act so much that i can't even express it into words. I've seen almost all shows from Cirque du soleil and La Nouba is still my favorite one. I Watched it over 100 times and i still cannot watch it without having tears in my eyes, it's a chance that i'm not a Emo. X ))
