It has a zipper on the inside or you could probably tear through the hole if that happened. Also, the water was maybe 4 feet deep there.

They're tether lines, not oxygen lines. They attach tether lines to these things because as you can see it's extremely difficult to walk in one. If you're in the middle of a lake and you can't walk your way to shore then you're kind of stuck. They just pull you back in. What about all the co² that you trap in that thing? I'd say a half hour in that ball would make you damn loopy with the co² inside.. Ever wonder why you get so drowsy sitting in rush hour?

no i think its just to pull them in if they cant themselves. then when you need air you go back and they refill the balloon.

I did this too while I was in China!!! It was so amazing! You get really hot inside those big balls. Or at least I did because it was in the middle of the summer.  It's a lot harder than it looks!!! LOL

They breathe with the air that is already inside the ball. But once they use up all the oxygen, which occurs within a few minutes, they have to get out of the ball because it becomes hard to breathe.
