If you're not, You'd be best off with the S, I guess :') I don't really know the specs of the phones, but.. They're in the same family, so, I'd guess that they're not that far from eachother, tech-wise, anyways. :'3

to anyone who has or is getting this phone.there is a hidden front mounted camera in the top section of this phone where the HTC letters are situated sits an extremely small lens type device located at the top left hand corner of the phone.its made up of very dark tinted glass so its very hard to see unless you shine a very bright light on it. im just saying use caution when buying a new phone as we have no idea what these machines are capable of..spying on us or recording everything we do.

@Trishax97x I've got a Desire Z and compared to newer phones like the Galaxy S2, its performance is a bit weak, but for me the keyboard itself is worth the sacrifice. It's probably the best phone out there with a QWERTY keyboard at the moment.

after two months using this phone I'm not very satisfied...the hinge problem it's not so drammatic, I complain more about the very low ram. Spec. state desire z features 512MB RAM, but the system show that u only have 368mb available, and because of system and android process I get only 130mb free closing all apps!! with android 2.2 u have at least 200mb free, so think before updating to 2.3!

this phone is too slow and sometimes starts rebooting by itself...

Friend you are right about the RAM, but there is not so tragic.

The phone works perfect, I only have small problems when try to render a movie in HD. But every app works great!

This phone is just great, its a good combination of typing and toutch. the keyboard is really helpfull and it haves quite big buttons (bigger than failbb). The performance of this phone is good too, its quite neutral. Its great i recommend this phone to everyone!

Desire z and hd unable 2 get sense 3.0 ??? I dont know why....my z is on sense 2.1....so no point getting desire s unless u want more brawn and you do not need a physical keyboard-ps the keyboard is amazing and you can speedtype after u r used to the keyboard on this phenominal phone....sense makes it the best phone ive tried...im just upset that its not 1ghz....it lags ocassionally but the lag isnt as bad as the wildfire
