I have been observing the moon for 30 years and i can, with out question, hesitation or a speck of doubt state that what has been filmed here is nothing other than a mountain peak on or near the lunar terminator.
looks like jeeps & buggy of sum sort i think, but not from earth tho. And the other structures look like you would see here on a battle field (guns and rocket launchers)? but thats wat i see. its really good pictures nice one! actually none fake shit at last lol.
Sometimes is hard to recognize which part belongs to which because of the shadows... Why is this "tower" black? Shouldn´t it be iluminated by the sun?
It depends how dark the material is, how much light it throws back.i must correct myself-everything over 10 miles would be sensational.could it be the same thing which "zond-3" photographed? How high is the zond-3-object, if it is not an photo-mistake?

@patmac573 im using a 78x optical zoom and a 3000x digital zoom. My latest video shows the camcorder i used. I dont use the digital zoom on the camera
@saintsdola They must be. By my calculations your "extremely tall structures" would have to be tens (maybe hundreds) of miles tall to be as big as they are in your video.
@jfuex everything over 3,7 miles would be like sensation would`nt it?I measured it very primitiv and i came to 13,3 miles and 22,9 miles.It looks like it is near to Casatus(72,6°S. 30,5 W).Some critic here is not constructiv.May be he can film it once more.He did a good job.For me it doesn`t look like an optical illusion-but it is not so easy to say what kind of spectacular mountain it is, because of the perspective and the close terminator and horizont.Anyway: great clip! feb.2.2012 39814cliks!

Second, like joonipuur i don't have to make a leap of faith and 'believe' you either, i saw the exact thing through my scope along the southern edge of the terminator line on the SAME NIGHT...i told YT user Johnlenardwalson, who puts out many lunar videos, to rush out at 2am to see it himself. I don't have a video or camera setup or I'd have filmed it too. It's 100% there, and MUCH more is too
John, just i case you're on, just been outside (South East England) with my small 4" Celestron, looking at Lunar top left along the terminator...if our out, look along near Copernicus (to it's left) and there's a huge, easily 10's of miles high black tower with a huge white dome or sphere on top...it's incredible mate!
@spikeychops I was freezing and twitching with excitement when i wrote that...it wasn't at the top left as i said, my scope reverses and is upside down image too and i didn't allow for that (not very experienced with a telescope at all).
I'm so pleased you saw it too, and actually had the means to aquire video of it.
For everyone that doesnt believe that this footage is authentic and that the equipment i use to film the moon couldnt get such close shot, you do not know the how to use your telescopes and filming gear to its full potential. The equipment i use on all my moon vids are the same setup. You have to tweak your equipment. I thank you for the comments, if you have any questions i will sure try and answer. And no i dont know the specific co-ordinates. :)
@saintsdola I've no doubt this is legit. (I film UFOs myself, so it's not merely a matter of believing you.) You should do a video of your setup. I'd love to see it. I'm planning on purchasing a telescope in the near future. Any tips would be great.
How is that a tower? It could be a geological feature that's been distorted by atmospheric refraction; there are a lot of factors that you need to account for, and I don't think this is any proof of a tower on the moon.

It looks very genuine to me because I have a telescope too and am used to the picture you see in the film. The only thing I find strange is that my telescope is a Bresser 200 en with an eyepiece 15mm and a Barlow 5x I'm still not gettings this close to the moon with so much detail.

YT already pulls videos like that...all SOPA would do is force sights like Youtube to police their sights a bit more.Something a site like YT can afford quite easily. @perspherspley Actually the Lamar bill is about kiddie porn....& is supposed to require IP's to keep a record of your activity online, for the prosecution of people who download child pornography....It has nothing to do with copyright infringement. ACTA is somewhat similar to SOPA/PIPA, but it is an evolving international treaty....much of the language of which is still not disclosed, so it's hard to comment on it with any absolute authority, but it could possibly result in some bad things.

@perspherspley Well, I don't think I would go so far as to say it's 'It's the same'...but in the sense that both would have the potential to be misused beyond the scope of what they were initially intended, then I suppose there is a similarity. Without the coordinates, this looks suspicious. Please give us the exact location, so we can check it against the excellent LROC photos which have resolution as good as 1m per pixel in places.

@carolincanada1 If you read through the comments i put the location of a crater that the tower is near. I dont have the coordinates, because i dont film by coordinates, i free film, which means i dont use GPS or other means to track.
@carolincanada1 poor quality video? Have you tried to film the moon from 300,000 miles away? Its kinda difficult to get a clear image when you are zoomed in that tight. You can look at my other videos and see how clear i can get, but this was a tight zoom

It's amazing that something could be right there, on the moon. Perhaps some alien structure, perhaps some exotic form xenotic life, and we can't investigate. Perhaps it could be a form of extraterrestrial Von Neumann technology. Like a nanotech machine that scouts other stars systems and replicates probes and/or transmission towers across the galaxy. According to the Fermi paradox such structures could be all over the universe by now.

The limit of resolution of a 130mm telescope at the distance to the moon is .89 arc seconds. A mile at this distance is .83 arcseconds. The smallest feature you could possibly see with a 130mm telescope is just over a mile. This object is many miles wide and many miles high. If I knew what camera you were using, I could calculate exactly how tall and wide it is. If you knew the exact location of this object, we could compare it to High Res images from the lunar orbiter and see what it is.

I saw the same thing with my own eyes, through my own telescope, the same night this video was filmed.

@perspherspley Actually the Lamar bill is about kiddie porn....& is supposed to require IP's to keep a record of your activity online, for the prosecution of people who download child pornography....It has nothing to do with copyright infringement. ACTA is somewhat similar to SOPA/PIPA, but it is an evolving international treaty....much of the language of which is still not disclosed, so it's hard to comment on it with any absolute authority, but it could possibly result in some bad things.

@perspherspley Well, I don't think I would go so far as to say it's 'It's the same'...but in the sense that both would have the potential to be misused beyond the scope of what they were initially intended, then I suppose there is a similarity. But if the Gov does that, they'd be essentially breaking the law....If they're willing to do that, then they wouldn't need any justification anyway. At worst these could be 'gateway bills' that could open the door for worse ones in the future.

Without the coordinates, this looks suspicious. Please give us the exact location, so we can check it against the excellent LROC photos which have resolution as good as 1m per pixel in places.

It's amazing that something could be right there, on the moon. Perhaps some alien structure, perhaps some exotic form xenotic life, and we can't investigate. Perhaps it could be a form of extraterrestrial Von Neumann technology. Like a nanotech machine that scouts other stars systems and replicates probes and/or transmission towers across the galaxy. According to the Fermi paradox such structures could be all over the universe by now.

The limit of resolution of a 130mm telescope at the distance to the moon is .89 arc seconds. A mile at this distance is .83 arcseconds. The smallest feature you could possibly see with a 130mm telescope is just over a mile. This object is many miles wide and many miles high. If I knew what camera you were using, I could calculate exactly how tall and wide it is. If you knew the exact location of this object, we could compare it to High Res images from the lunar orbiter and see what it is.
