  • not bad, but not in the same league vocally as BC

  • All I know is these guys didn't show up for a concert in Hawaii. Very disappointing.

  • @80sjamming Maybe it's because Andy was diagnosed with cancer?

  • crap riding on the backs of heros

  • I think the guys (Andy and Steve) hate each other, or must have some difficult rift going on because a friend of mine overheard Steve being asked backstage recently: "Why aren't you and Andy playing together", and Steve just replied "Oh, well that would be great." To me that indicates that he's asked that quite often, and that's the nicest way he can say "shut up about that and leave me alone", wouldn't you agree?

  • @unlikeanyotherhuman

do they hate each other?! thats weird O.o

  • Steve has got copyrights for every song and he also has rights to the name "Sweet" Andy hasn't got it :D

  • video's all messed up... great song but it would be nice to watch it... hehe.

  • I never heard of a band called lionheart. Were they a British Band?

  • Yeah, they were led by Dennis Stratton of Iron Maiden fame, Chad Brown sang for the band between 1984-85.

  • So sad. Why do bands lip sync? It sucks. Watching some old dudes dance around to a recording. They really insult the intelligence of their fans when they do this. Just because they re recorded the song so it doesn't sound like the original people can still tell they are lip syncing. Shame, shame and more shame.

  • was Chad Brown the singer in Lionheart?

  • Yes, he was - great vocalist. Lionheart was a great record!

  • Personnal I think andy scott should put sweet to rest...and leave us with the memories and orginal videos of his orginal SWEET....

  • Would that require Steve Preist to disband his version of Sweet as well?

I just wish the two of them would be part of the same Sweet again, but they hate one another now, it's so unfortunate.

  • @SFBurbridge no they dont hate each other. Steve moved to here in the states, andy is in the uk.

  • @SFBurbridge watch this space

  • Great Cover band!

  • Poor Mick Tucker:-(R.I.P.:-(

  • you just cant redo a song without the original members, its good of Andy to try and keep it alive, but its just not the same. God Bless Mick and Brian. There will never be talent like yours again

  • i think they're playing to a backing track.

  • This is what SWEET would have sounded in the 80's....

  • what happened to Chad Brown?

  • what have done to it, when i hear a cover i wanna hear something done to it or else its just pointless, they might as well play the sweets version on a CD, lazy cheapskates.

  • awful!!

  • still not as and never will be ad good as the original!!

  • it's still good just dont sound the same to me not as good of a sound!

  • ggggreat song!!!

I think these guys did a great job, albeit the 80's synth.

  • nice try but noone comes close to brian! noone!

  • Tragic when you saw Brian Connolly giving TV interviews in his last years-he was just a complete wreck of a man, with permanent shakes.

  • They should get Steve Priest in the band, he's the only founding member worthy of the name Sweet, Frank Torpey is hardly going to use that band name is he, he was out in the first year!

  • WHO THE FUCK IS FRANK TORPEY! It's andy scott!

  • look at the comment i left on the other video you commented on.

  • i jsut did..but frank torpey is not a sweet member..he was a member of sweetshop! Which then became ther sweet when they recruited the next guy..but the band failed..so they hired andy scott! As far as I and others are concerned the sweet members are brian, mick, andy, and steve priest! THE LEGENDS

  • Yes and i agree with you that that lineup were the legends. Even if they were originally Sweetshop, it's merely a shortening of the name. Now when Brian and Mick decided to form a band that was The Sweet after leaving Wainwright's Gentlemen, now that's a different band (which also had Ian Gillan in it). And after asking me who Frank Torpey is, you seem to know a bit about the fact that he was in Sweetshop.

  • I do indeed...When you said frank torpey I thought you were getting bands mixed up!

  • Well, if you've always thought of Sweetshop as a different band it's bound to throw you off...and i know loads of information about bands that loads of other fans find pointless anyway...like i know who was in the original line-up of Guns n' Roses, and only 2 of the classic members were in that.

  • No-one likes a smart arse

  • Ha ha, no-one except the forgotten people they remember and the smart arses themselves.

  • God I'm still laughing at that - Sweet went through all kinds of line ups after Brian's departure, thank god Andy's guitar and vocal abilities are polished enough to lend some sort of authenticity to this sort of thing. Everyone new to Sweet - just read the Wikipedia article. Brian's vocal abilities were not up to par when they re-united in l988 in Los Angeles. Drinking is terrible for the voice as anyone who plays in a band knows. Great song though. Great post!

  • You're right, after the attack on Brian, his drinking got worse and things went down hill from there for him.God Bless Brian,no one,not even Andy can capture Brian's magic.Dont get me wrong,Andy does a great job,but its just not Sweet without Brian and Mick.

  • It's very sad about Brian, what an amazing talent, I'll never forget how magic those songs were on the radio back in the 70s. All the glam stuff, the girls were wearing, and the whole vibe in England at the time. It was really awesome, even though I was only a child at the time, I remember Fox on the Run playing on the radio all the time.

  • ...And Steve...although, Steve is now running his own band under the 'Sweet' moniker.

  • Not to mention the attack on Brian and he had damage to his vocal chords.

  • I agree, they should pull the last world of each line longer, more heavey then...

  • the guy is alright, but i think he should pull the last word of each line a lil longer (like " run" at the end of the 1st line of the chorus)

pete lincoln, who is the present singer, is not that bad. saw him on a sweet concert in june this year, think he did quite a good job.

  • Brian is irreplaceable, but I agree with others that Chad Brown did very well in his stint as AS Sweet's singer. I've watched their Wig Wam Bam / Little Willy video many times, but hadn't seen this one until today. Nice post. Thanks for this.

  • He should call his band "Sweet's Andy Scott" instead of "Andy Scott's Sweet." I think it would be recieved better. But I'm not their manager, so I guess it's "Andy Scott's Sweet!"

  • Rubbish without BC, SP and MT!!

  • No one could ever replace Brian but Chad Brown was great guy and the singer who actualy did enjoy.

  • chad brown is probably the best singer from AS sweet..the latest guy and the guy before him are not very good!

  • good for andy!! keep the flame burning....

  • cool version

  • 1997...a sad year...brians last year....Rest in peace!

  • I was in school with Andy Scott, and played guitar with him, contact me for info Sweet fans. ;)

  • Excellent where do people find these videos, thoroughly recommend Andy Scott's Sweet, the legend of the unique sweet lives on!!

  • Indeed Great Tiger and Thanks for your mail!
