My grandfather completed his tour of Earth on Dec. 4, 2011. He was 78 years old and I could not be more proud to call that upstanding, responsible, civil, hard-working, dutiful, loving man my family. He was a veteran, and the discipline he learned while he served stuck with him throughout his whole life.

I dedicate this beautiful song to my only daughter Emerentiana (aged 3.5 months old) who passed away on 9th June 2009 and to my wife Dezyama who passed away very recently on 2nd November 2011. My life without them is meaningless. This song comforts me and I would like to dedicate this song to my beloved wife Dezyama on her birthday tomorrow (15th January 2012). God give me strength and May their soul Rest In Peace !!! I love you both !!!

Yes its next to impossible to imagine a life without those whom we love so much. Lost my dad last year and i just can stop missing him. the only thing that gives me strength to go on is the calm assurance that he is with Jesus and we'l meet again and surely sing some of dad's favorite Jim Reeves songs. I would encourage you to find hope in the same calm assurance.... may the Lord be your comforter.

Just Beautiful ! We sang 'Till We Meet at the end of every sermon in my Grandmother's little Methodist Church in Louisiana. Many beautiful memories.....and some very sad ones. We sang it at her funeral and my mothers & fathers funerals as well.

@fredrickthomas1 Before I went to Viet Nam, in 1967, my (soon to-be) Mother-in-Law, typed the lyrics, of this song on a 3X5 card. I carried it though the entire tour. I often wonder how it survived all the times it got wet, dirty,& just kicked around, but it did. And I always had that card with me, everywhere and all the time. I think the wrinkled, water stained, dirty card was the only thing I had that I had the entire 13 months. I still have it in a safe place. Thanks again Mom.

Dave, To loose someone is the most devestating time that we all have to go through at some point in our lives. I lost my Mum a few years ago and recently my father in law. I love this song. This is a time of mixed emotions for me. I took my last walk with my son on Christmas Eve. We walked together over the years sometimes in silence but we still communicated. Thank you Angela for your Blessings. My Dawn was taken also by, a very aggressive pancreatic cancer. 6 weeks from feeling unwell to diagnosis then her passing. Time is a great healer they say. Not so for me, time has taught me how to cope. I am sure that you too will learn how to cope with your loss. Apart from family and friends I have found many here on YouTube who have guided me through many a dark hour. There are many who will help you too.

I would like to dedicate this to all the loved ones I have lost and someday hope to see again. I was a long time coming to the understanding that belief in God is the only way to go. I do believe now and I know i will see you all some day in Heaven.

@fredrickthomas1 Before I went to Viet Nam, in 1967, my (soon to-be) Mother-in-Law, typed the lyrics, of this song on a 3X5 card. I carried it though the entire tour. I often wonder how it survived all the times it got wet, dirty,& just kicked around, but it did. And I always had that card with me, everywhere and all the time. I think the wrinkled, water stained, dirty card was the only thing I had that I had the entire 13 months. I still have it in a safe place. Thanks again Mom.

Dear Dave, I had lost my Grandmother (Dad's mom) on February 25th, 2010, my Grandpa(Mom's Dad) on May 5th, 2010, and my Father-in-law on Nov. 13, 2010. So this song has touched my heart. I pray this new year will be one of many blessings to you and everyone. My mother passed away on the 20th of Jan. She is now with Jesus. No more pain and suffering. I'll always have beautiful memories of her. I believe that I will se her again someday.

Dave, To loose someone is the most devestating time that we all have to go through at some point in our lives. I lost my Mum a few years ago and recently my father in law. It has left such a gaping hole that can never be filled. but when I hear songs like this tears come to my eyes but also memeories which will cancel those tears and make me smile and those are the most treasured as they will never leave us. I always light a candle Christmas Eve I will light one for you for Dawn. take care x

I love this song. This is a time of mixed emotions for me. I took my last walk with my son on Christmas Eve. We walked together over the years sometimes in silence but we still communicated. I miss the walks we took over the past 48 years. He is now walking with the Lord since February of this year. I miss you son.

Thanks for the beautiful song, David. During this Holiday seasons I want to dedicate this song to my most beloved husband who had gone with the Lord in Feb this year - six months after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Rest in Peace SH... till we meet again....

Thank you for sharing David. I sang this song when we left our long time home in Michigan to move out west and then it was sang again by my fathers request at his funeral this past September. He loved Jim Reeves almost as much as this song. In his memory I want to post this on my profile as tomorrow December 9th would have been his 80th birthday. Thank you Angela for your Blessings. My Dawn was taken also by, a very aggressive pancreatic cancer. 6 weeks from feeling unwell to diagnosis then her passing. Time is a great healer they say. Not so for me, time has taught me how to cope. I am sure that you too will learn how to cope with your loss. Apart from family and friends I have found many here on YouTube who have guided me through many a dark hour. There are many who will help you too.

In my husbands life time he played Jim Reeves from 6am to midday any weekend he was home and any day hewas stressed, Our children grew up with these songs ringing in their ears. I am so sorry to hear of your loss but trust you can get comfort from listening to Jim Reeves. This channel was opened in memory of my eldest daughter who was taken from us July 2005 and my first video was But You Love Me Daddy which I remade in 2008 for her 40th birthday using photos from the family albums.This was our favourite song and sang it together often.

This Hymn is a favorite of Gordon B Hinckley who was President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He had a sure faith that we would meet again in a better place. A good man, a Prophet of the Lord. I do look forward to meeting him again. My father loved Jims songs. I grew up listening to them too as he had them on all the time. I am sure that my Dad and Jim have met up too there.

I lost my husband in 2004. I sang this song as I lay a wreath on his grave. It is a song that up to now draws me close to him and makes me appreciate the time we shared together. Thank you Dagenhamdave for the beautiful video and for sharing it in memory of Dawn who you will meet at Jesus feet.
