Okay, first of all, Metacritic can't be trusted because it gave CoD4 on the Ps3 a 9.6 and gave CoD4 on the Xbox360 a 9.5. They may have changed it by now, but it's the SAME DAMN GAME, and they gave it two different scores. Metacritic is Biased.

Second, Ps3 games don't have equivilents to 360 games, they have similar ones. Are they even necessarily better? No. Is Halo 3 the best thing ever made? No. Is Halo 3: ODST the coolest game ever made? HELL YES.

I respectfully disagree, that is mostly a subjective opinion however if you were to measure all the aspects of an FPS in relation to the capabilities of a console Goldeneye 007 for the N64 is the best game ever (in that genre of course)

During the PS2, Gamecube, Xbox days Halo was indeed the best FPS, innovative and perfectly executed.

This gen COD4 takes the prize, since it rewamped soo much, executed everything perfectly etc while Halo 3 didn't improve upon much since Halo 2.

The ps3's gpu and cpu share video memory, and the 360's does not so...1.75gigs ps3 > 512mb 360. Blue ray cd 17-20gigs > normal 360 cd 5-7gigs. The RSX cell by nvidia in the ps3 has warmer colors sharper graphics, but...the 360's Custom ATI cpu was built with a shader model program giving it an edge on shades only...yes Live runes better than PSN but overall. ps3

It is a margin better than the 360 but a pc gamer can come along and say that his/her 1500$ gaming rig immensely surapasses the PS3's graphics and that is also true.
