  • Shooting down old, mothballed former Soviet aircraft...How would it do with a modern air force baring in at Mach 2 plus...?

  • @deetjay1 I think the platform is getting outdated on that part. Its a 30 year old AA system, I'm sure a new one is being researched to replace the old generation AA systems.

  • @deetjay1 I don't think speed is an issue. Mach 2 has being achieved decades ago if I am not wrong and aircraft speeds have been kept constant or went down to trade for other features. Besides, most cruise missiles are sub-sonic so having one of these things really make missile barrages or helicopter operations difficult.

  • @initvesa

When the Russians found out about the "Blackbird", and a top speed that was classified, that must of been a nasty piece of news I would think...

  • Oh shit, in Soviet- Russia, they use MiG-21 and helicopters to example, how about those pilots ??? :(

  • Battlefield 3 ultimate bird-murderer device on tracks.

  • 0:40 translations = shits not complex just shoot em down

  • bye bye warthog

  • Neat! A turkey, duck, and deer hunter all in one.

  • i heared, that Tor m2 much better than Pancir m1, and Tunguska m-2

  • Damn...it can even shoot down a cruisemissile !!!

  • You pop up and get 84 Rounds in your face, in 1 second!

  • It's kinda fucked up how they show our U.S Warthog ,then show there ANTI-Aircraft weapon. I wish i could translate.

  • @70bignuts

The guy is basically saying Tunguska was an answer to A-10 and other close attack air targets. It was supposed to travel with a group of tanks/infantry and protect them.

  • What's with the theme to the movie Exodus at the beginning?

  • "To buy the hardware or the production license, please contact".....

    *picks up phone*

    I SO WANT ONE!

  • @Twistingnether

    Can anyone buy these!?

  • i fear those MG's much more than those missles

  • How much does this cost and why havent been and great export?

  • @vq30detcomanche Thats why US became developing stealth technology in the mid 80s

  • @vq30detcomanche Stealth technology is a little overrated, since an aircraft needs its own radar to function effectively, and the radio waves emitted by that radar are very, very easy to detect and follow to their source. The entire point of anti-radar missiles is to do just that.

So basically, a stealth aircraft is invisible to radar as long as it isn't using its own. Which just leads to people looking into alternate methods of detection. Like infrared emissions, which can't be hidden.

  • @Ghostwind1

Current stealth tech is optimised for radars working in the X-band ((Centimeter) most aircraft mounted radars). But can be detected with radars working in the L-band (metric).

  • @Husar101

What do you mean the difference between X and L band is? Centimeters are a metric value, or do you mean that X works in centimeters and L works in meters and this changes the characteristics?

  • @XiaoPow

radars working in the L-band (google it for explanation) can detect stealth fighters at a significant distance.

  • @Ghostwind1 or even the doppler radars which Oz used to detect F117s during war games. shocked the yanks as they didn't realise they were being tracked from way out.

  • @Ghostwind1 stealth no changed any in low altitude 100 stealth its impossible

  • @Ghostwind1 B2 stealth bomber contradicts everything you just said.

  • @peterpiperriperreter Hardly. The B2 is a high-altitude strategic bomber. It mainly uses GPS navigation to find its targets, and this being a strategic bomber we're talking about, those targets are quite large. You don't use one to kill a tank column or a bunker, you use one to attack a city or an airfield. You don't need radar for that.

And it has to fly quite high to make sure its exhaust heat is hidden from ground AA. It's useless for tactical strikes.

  • @Ghostwind1 it has thermal camouflage, and it does leave heat signatures. But, the thermal camouflage distributes the heat in a way that it doesn't look like a plane on radar.

  • @peterpiperriperreter It doesn't matter if it doesn't look like a plane on radar, it will still be quite obvious that a thermal signature at that altitude and moving that fast is a B-2. It may not be enough for an SAM to get a reliable kill, but it would still be a sitting duck for an interceptor with a FLIR.

I will admit that stealth has much more use on a bomber than it does on a fighter. The B-2 is a very good bomber, but don't think it's anywhere near invisible.

  • i fucking hated these things in battlefield 2

  • how much cost this?

  • @KizaGB

    a "few" million :)

  • @Husar101 Serbia need this...we call russia 1999 for s 300,whem we fight with NATO,but russia dont give us s 300...

  • @KizaGB

Serbia has sold it's arse to the enemy and no longer needs anything it seems

  • @Husar101 Serbia burning,Yeltsin drunk with Clinton, and fucking up...Serbia search to support S 300,Russia give us big dick...

  • @KizaGB

I agree with you partially because Yeltsin's government was similar to the Serbian government today.

Since you speak about Serbia asking for the S-300, can you tell me when exactly they asked for it?

And do you think that you can just receive the S-300 and can use it straight away?

It takes at least a year of preparations and training before you can be efficient with the system

  • @Husar101 Serbia asked Russia 1998 and 1999 for S 300 and remont MIG 29,and purchase of new aircraft. In time before the bombing.Serbia needed the support of Russia and weapons because she was alone and has always been an ally of Russia.Serbia and Belarus are the only ally of Russia in Europe.

  • @Husar101 Serbia has no more power for the war ... no weapons, no support, Serbia is alone...we want to fight, but it is now impossible, we are too weak, too much pressure is on us ...Serbia is economically and militarily weak.Serbia should wait...

  • @Husar101 If you notice russia and USA are been selling they old equipment. Serbia border nations are buying f-16s and Mig 29s you need a long range AAA Defense system. S-300 can attack flying objects, ground and navy targets. a super defense system. Buy tanks and aircraps are useless against a good defense system. Can fight in network along with tunguskasan, Tors and Buks systems.

  • Are the missles infared guided as well as radar guided?

  • @Pluntfarb No. I believe they are radio command to line of sight only.

  • @MegaLangosta I think they are radar guided arent they? Thats why they have the radar? Im not really sure though haha

  • @MegaLangosta

Yes, they're radar guided with a max. range of 8-10km

There's an upgrade on offer that features an Electro-Optical Fire-Control.

  • Huuuurrr DURRR RUSSIA STRONG!!! fucking goofballs.

  • what's up with that sound effect at 4:50? LOL

  • @ruspatriot100

Daher ...

  • Thewestcoastshooter - YOU are scum bag. You probably think about SA-2 missiles system used in Vietnam , That thing is innacurate.

Yugoslavia did not have anything newer I think newest was 1970's made.

and F-117 pieces are in Belgrade museum of aviation.

I will tell you something now Biggest misstake CCCP made is to go down without taking USA with it. CCCP should have destroyed USA in 1989.

  • Fuck...crazy russians....this thing scares me.

  • @Obet1979

    fuck itself

Excelenteªªª

  • I love this stuff ... Viva mother Russia

  • 2nd Tunguska-M1 video added with extra footage and English commentary. See Video Response link below

  • looks like a 1980s ATARI keyboard in that M1

  • LOL the graphics at 1:00 are from the german Gepard

the russian dumbasses dont have own graphic at least...such a stupid country in each aspect

  • 2:20 LOLLLLL

  • 8 missiles means 8 superhornets, 2000 rounds = 24 seconds/4 seconds = 6 apaches.

enought for a day fight. TUNGUSKA means AMERICA ! u can bully everybody but dont mess up with RUSSIA.

  • @takajong 8 SAM missiles getting 8 hits?!! historically, Russian systems manage less than a 10% hit rate... even Yugoslavia, which had a bang up to date air defense system had very little success against a NATO force. No one plans to invade or mess with Russia, there is no need, vodka and corruption are doing the job just fine.

  • @Thewestcoastshooter

You've got everything mixed up. It was NATO's bombing that had poor accuracy.

Yugoslavia had a largely 1970's with some 1980's level technology but managed to come out with relatively light military losses.

  • @Thewestcoastshooter

Wau mister , you got something wrong. From '60's, coming russian SAM weapon that bring down F 117, "nighthawk" that supposed to be invinsible BTW, in very same Yugoslavia that you mention and for sure that is not the "up the date air defense system. That old school SAMs combined with new school S-400 give supremacy in air for Russia, like it or not. They can bring down anything. The real question is Can you bring down them ? If you wait for vodka&corruption...you are late...

  • it wasnt a sam missle that brought down a f117 it was AAA fire (massed fire at that)

  • @kduwe1 it was S125 Neva (Pechora)

  • @ingpetkovic

it was AAA that brought down the 117 not a missle

  • @kduwe1

That's not what's important. What's important is that it was detected on radar, and that they could locate it.

  • @Thewestcoastshooter

You are joking right? Yugoslavia only had 60's-70's stuff. The only modern assets were Igla Manpads. Even today they operate legacy S-125, Kub-M, Strela-1 and Strela 10.

Also the NATO operated at high altitudes under extensive use of jamming devices. Under such circumstances it's a wonder that the Yugos managed to keep their Air Defense largely intact.

  • @Thewestcoastshooter

Russia is in far better shape that most of the world after the economic collapse. Its looking better than California.

  • @Thewestcoastshooter man your just soooo right !

  • @Thewestcoastshooter Serbia had Kub M1 and Pechora S125 Neva....and Bofors 40mm AA Guns and locally build 3x20mm BOV3.....what of that is "UP TO DATE" -.-.... Try again....

  • @Thewestcoastshooter ok eat your burgers and be well!

    :-)

  • @PoseidonGRE Aint nobody talking to you ...greasy greek scumbag. Go suck a Turks cock.

  • @Thewestcoastshooter at the moment you are sucking it!

  • @Thewestcoastshooter and keep eating your burger!

    :-)

  • @PoseidonGRE Greece? Who? Never heard of them... irrelevant country full of nobodys. At least the Russians i was arguing with are from somewhere that matters.

  • @Thewestcoastshooter be careful!you might choke from your burger!

  • @PoseidonGRE Careful you might be from a place that is strategically insignificant.

  • @Thewestcoastshooter i don't worry about that.So many burgers don't let you know my "place".No space in the brain:-)

감사

  • good russia came with new victims, poor A-10 was hungry....

  • @TigerMeet2142

A-10 would get raped by Russian anti-air and air power. dumbass

  • guns firing 5000 rounds per minute. total amunition 2000 rounds, and 8 rockets. 24 seconds and you out of ammo

  • Who ever is going to be on the receiving end of this, is going to have a real bad day. Its a good thing that Indian army also has these.

  • Man, this in an impressive platform. The ZSU-23-4 was also formidable, but this seems to be a good replacement.

  • The US copy a lot of Germany secret weapons they stole from them. How do you think US got to the moon.

  • 5000 sot to minut

  • Russian scientist should mix the cannon with Su-35.

It will be a very perfect weapon.

  • It ain't a copy of anything from the deutchbags. The russians are masters at AAA.

  • @MegaLangosta fucking true

  • @MegaLangosta no...we're not in the year 1945 fool....russia tech is retarted if you compare it with germanys weapons or us weapons....you can compare it with every country...tunguska is very old and not on the actually stae of modern tech....its from the 70s. how can they be master ?!?!?! they are nothing against each nation on the world

  • @MegaLangosta no dude ..you eat shit...

it is a very clear copy ! the first was the ghepard ! the only advantages tunguska has,it has rockets ...but the recent developments upgraded the gepard, including rockets...so the ghepard is much better than the tunguska ...

  • @acvaticlifE This is a fairdinkum request - just exactly how is it better? and how do you know that? cause they both look pretty devastating.

  • @mrbishi1000

    he doesn't.

The Gepard can be upgraded with Stinger missiles (it's not standard equipment) which have shorter range than the Tunguska missiles. The Tunguska can be upgraded by using components from the Pantsir-S1 (SA-22)

  • @mrbishi1000 yes but germans always choosed quality over quantity :)

  • @acvaticlifE I gotta agree

  • @acvaticlifE

German it's grate power in all times! We respect Germans!

  • @ete0 in all times? ... what about 1943-1945?

  • @acvaticlifE Well during the WW2 they invested a lot of resources in future technologies which doesn't worked properly. Like V2 Rockets and Jet-planes. They maybe were high tech but not really good quality cause you always need time to test new technologies. In general it was not really smart. And if you look at German tanks like Panther, Tiger, Elephant, King-tiger they all had heavy constriction and engine problems. How much of them were lost only cause of weak engine?!

  • @MegaLangosta that's true, They were the first Country to produce SAM's

  • let's say Tunguska was influenced by the latter. With the missile system it's head and shoulders over the gepard.

  • Nevertheless the idea comes from the German and the Russians copy it. Even if they have developed it further ... it changes nothing on this fact ;-)

  • The Tunguska is replacement for the ZSU-23-4...get your facts straight.

  • If it is so ... than you also can say, that the FlakPz Gepard replacement for the 3,7 cm Flak 43 L/60 "Ostwind" or the Flakpanzer IV (2 cm) auf Fgst. Pz.Kmpfw. IV "Wirbelwind" ...

It's a official fact, that the Russians copy the basicdesign from the FlakPz Gepard.

  • @SovjetPhoenix

  • @SovjetPhoenix

  • @Husar101 and the only decent replacement for, shilka's were fucking solid steel.

  • Ha-ha! Gepard is copy of Tunguska!

  • Boy, the Gepard is older as the Tunguska. So how can he be a copie???

Boy, that the basicconception from the tunguska is a copy of the Gepard ... thats a official fact ...

  • SO WHAT! It is better than the Gepard, and that is all that counts. Oh yeah, your claim is stupid and based on personal opinion, rather than fact!

  • Better??? Who says that??? Only YOUR personal opinion!!!

And the fact is that the Russians coppy the German idea. Whether they make it better or worse ... that is a other question ...

  • India has around 200 of these...

    Very effective weapon systems...

    Jai Hind!!!

  • Ah ha thanks dude.. Its "Man's Too Strong"

  • Arrrgh what music is playing at 1:00 i swear ive heard it before.

  • Dire Straits

  • @OpticalSnare That's 'The Man's too Strong' by Dire Straits. I was instantly thrown back to my Childhood as soon as I heard that, really strange feeling.

  • they should put that gun on the M1 tunguska on their Su-25, its better than the GAU-8. i mean just look at that volume of fire it produces, its insane.

  • i agree, because russian aircraft usually use a single barrel cannon, if it start to use the gun used in tunguska it would have more chance to hit multiple targets near each other too.

  • tunguska M1, the best and most symbolic self propelled AA (although shilka could be argued to be the most symbolic)

  • I take it back, the russians turned out to have an even better self-propelled AA than this awesome one, its called Pantsir-S1, and it can take out all sealth aircraft, with also a better range.

  • my country needs these kind of weapon!!!!

  • Brasil too!

  • Tunguska is designed to destroy small low flying targets even such as small missiles automatically. It can work in such mode that it just auto shots everything that flies. And btw it can shoot as it moves, it dons't need to stop.

Fires 5000 rounds per minute, it's missile flies with 3xsuppersonic speed.

  • As very short translation, this thing can do everything automated, and even fight ground forces. It can capture target from 18km range and automatically follow the target until it in fire range. It can fire at 10 km range using missiles and at 4km range using gun.

The crew there is mostly to control what it does, automatics there can even aim and shot suddenly appeared Aircraft cowboy style. That that's it.

  • the guns are sick

  • We also NEED THIS!!!

  • i want to buy this weapon. please russia sell it to mee.

  • No problem!!!! 100 000 000 $ (cash)

  • Sell it to me please.. 100 million dollars is too high for this weapon. we can buy lots of truck and aa guns with this amount.

  • For our iranian friends we can offer a special discount)))

    But we take only cash^_-

  • wonderful weapon

  • nice..

  • wow. thx for this video.

    this firepower is unbelieveable.

  • subtitles would be nice

  • damn good video, thanks.
