No offense, but this game can be played on an Emulator. The only problem is that new operating systems like Windows 7 do not support the emulator.

It would have been nice to see the game tweaked and changed with new characters and other things added, but it is still a good game.

I'm glad this FINALLY came out. Sadly I could only download the demo since I don't have any funds yet, but when I do get some funds, best believe I WILL get the FULL version and have fun beating Sentinels with 5 other people using Nightcrowler (my favorite character). Now......if only Sony, Microsoft, and Konami can bring The Simpsons Arcade to the consoles.

@ecthelionv2 Yeah, the X-Men arcade game is a hardcore title. Honestly, it's probably cuz of Nintendo's whole online...standards. They seriously gotta open up their whole online system. They're just limiting themselves. Say this game was on the Wii - you can't talk to anybody. You'll probably end up buying the PS3 or 360 version. They lose right off the bat.

@wiicoolalways There is an arcade cabinet that allowed 6 players, and the screen stretched out to a panoramic view, so all 6 players could see what's going on. The only way to choose your character in the 6-player version is by putting a coin into the slot of the character that you wanted to play as. My brother and I played both the 4 and 6-player versions, but I only saw the 6-player version once.

@ultramegaunknown Hey I grew up in the 90s, but the same generalization could be said about 90s arcade games where they were mostly 2d beat 'em ups which only lasted 45 minutes if you had enough quarters. Gaming is as good today as it was then, you can find quality in any type of genre as long you take the time to look.

@killa2008wtf The Japanese version has pinkish Sentinals that drop health restorers or extra "free" uses of your Mutant Power. All the voice acting is the same as the English version, but it's subtitled in Japanese.

It does sound like the dialogue has been re-recorded for this re-release, though. Professor X's speech sounded a little different.

@VargasXX78 -- It's widescreen to allow 6-player co-op. The common arcade game usually had up to 4 players, hence the sprites were bigger, while the 6-player arcade cabinets filled two screens.

I think because the original arcade 6 player cabinet used 2 screens to make the screen wider but still maintain the sprite size.. while this version is only being played on single screen TV monitors so they had to shrink everything to make it fit.. hopefully that's not the case but even if it is I'm still stoked for this
