He doesn't mention this, but the door can be set up differently to open either or both of the side vestibule panels. There are toggles and loops in place to facilittate this, which provides a more sheltered vestibule area and eliminates the annoyance of the central guy line.

to get rid of the anoying rope in your way i would V it and use 2 stakes so it followed the shap of the door that would solve the problem.

@Darryld1 All you need to do is attach two guy ropes and shuttle them off in opposite directions (toward where the stakes for the porch are). Still get the support and a nice view as well. Easy!
