  • TELLS THE TRUTH...THEY'D FIRE HIM IN WASHINGTON WALL STREET HEALTHCARE BANK...LOVE THIS GUY...FUCK THEM BUDDY I'M WITH YA...DONE IT MYSELF MANY TIMES...FUCK THE BOSSES

  • Was he getting the best value in service?

  • On my railroad, he would of been fired.

  • "I can't go I'mm fucked" LoL

  • The guy is from the "White River area in North Western Ontario...a true local legend lol...sometimes you need to speak up to the people who try control your life...props to him! the rail road makes you drink..there is no life...hire more and get them poor men on a schedule so they can enjoy both work and their family life!...money only takes you so far!

  • Ok I get it you r sitting on tha fucking toilet lol

  • Best call ever, I've been laughing at this call for years. I aint workin for the CPR no more.

  • idiot - not educated enough to comment negative on topics.

  • wasnt this guy on another call posted on YT

  • @dueltruck700 Don't think so?

  • ha ha! RR's sit on call all day being ready and expect to be called any minute but the RR waits to call in middle of night.....I found funny being how we know the frustration of the job. The other side is he will go to work and be there at all hours risking his life many times unappreciated. The company during holidays takes time off but these guys work without extra compensation! Dont criticize unless you know what they deal with. No one was damaged he laid off "sick" I'm sure dispatch laugh

  • It fucking annoys me how so many fucking people use fucking after every fucking word. I'ts fucking unnecessary. Does fucking anyone fucking agree?

  • WTF!!!!! What an idiot!!!

  • @TheZeke1974 No he isn't. That is an idiot comment of yours though. Do you or have you ever worked for the railroad . If you haven't then you are the odiot!!

  • @han0115 Whats an odiot?

  • Life doesn't mix with the rail road. Sad but true.

  • Right on Doug, tell those fuckin pricks to fuck thier hats.

  • No human being can sit there on call for days at there house just not doing anything on call. Don't care who you are eventually you're entitled to go out and get shit faced with your buddies. Especially when you've had to miss four or five weddings or be on call for five or six years and miss all of those weekend camping trips.... the railroad owed him this.

  • @Taank55 Then I suggest a person get into a different line of work. The railroad owed him nothing. It's the nature of the beast. Can't argue with that.

  • I worked for CN Rail as a conductor and when I heard this for the first time, I was on the floor laughing so hard. This is the perfect example of life when working on the railroad.

  • ps Doug your a legend to all of your fellow railroaders!

  • Heard this for the first time March 2005,I was in my first year as a BNSF conductor,I had not been on the job very long and knew exactly where he was coming from. I seen a trainmaster listen to this clip, even got a chuckle out of him.

  • Hilarious!

  • Life don't mix with the railroad. Hahaha...

  • Imma extra board switchman (freshmeat) from the Cp down @ Knoche Kc I guess that'd a taste of things to come

  • I love this. I first heard it some time back and it really hit the spot. As some others have said I do not know how you guys put up with working conditions like this. I worked the trains all my life and we always, that is ALWAYS had our life planned around set rosters. Seniority certainly gave you better work but the last guy on could still plan his life with some certainty.

  • He's from Northern Ontario for all you people wondering and saying he's from Western Canada.....I know...my boyfriend worked with him and he lived in the same town as we did.

  • @jody0402 He worked out of Alyth in Calgary and there are many other stories about him. He transferred down east after this happened. I also worked with the crew dispatcher on this call, when he transferred to running trades in 08.

  • @jody0402 He was born and grew up in Toronto.

  • Better to layoff than get a rule G! Sometimes you get caught short, it happens.

  • Fire the fuck me....hilarious.

  • @caseyjoenz

hahahahahaha i read this comment right as he said it and laughed my fucking ass off

  • There is not one Rail that doesn't see this man as a hero...

  • doesnt this guy work in calgary? thats what my dad told me :P

  • NOW THAT'S A SICK CALL

  • LMFAO @ "fire the fuck me"

  • "These guys in the States" I thought Australians were smarter than that. Obviously he's from Canada, most likely western Canada by the accent, working for CP (Canadian Pacific) Railroad, out on the sleds, and drinking large amounts of whiskey. Any retard would figure that out. btw with the economy in western most jobs are on call at any time cause theres work to be done and money to bank. And life on the railroad in Canada is gonna be shitty in the dead of winter,i couldsee why he hates his life

  • @stoondude western canada is fucking dope, he works out of calgary, and what he does he gets called in the middle of the night because he is a engineer he drives the trains so he gets terrible hours, but they get paid 120 - $130,000 dollars a year, my dad use to work as an engineer and he hated the hours now he works in the yard in saskatoon, and gets to go home every night instead of waking up every middle of the night, and the winters aren't even that harsh they are just long.

  • @VictoryInProgress He was never an engineer.

  • @stoondude

I'm not an expert on accents mate. The purpose of my post was to point out that to plan any semblance of life and moreover, to ensure that a crew member is properly rested you need a forcast roster. I repeat, I don't know how you guys (Canadians or from the States) live with this!

  • Well this is what happens when you don't have set rosters, people just can't plan their lives. In Australia (on the freights) you might have a few weeks in the roster that are not set workings, but even when on these weeks you are given advance notification, generally about 24 hours. Sure, you get called out from time to time to cover illness etc but these guys in the States are living from phone call to phone call. I don't know how they do it.

  • @LMatters1 It is a way of life over here my friend. You get use to it as best you can. The first number of years you are out of here life will be like this until you gain enough senority to hold down a few run's and after that you start to hold down normal runs and so forth. If you are on the extra list, life is miserable. Never know when you are gonna get fucked by the crew caller! LOL

    ]

  • @CSXtrackworker You have to stop to think that some workers are their own worst enemy and like to complain their lives away. Their agenda is not to gain seniority but to book off whenever they want so they can get drunk or attend some sort of event. There are not too many jobs out there where you can do that and not be fired.

  • @Candy3Corn3Cat Some workers are their own worst enemy, Your comment of not wanting to gain senority so they can book off to get drunk or attend events is pretty false. Every conductor& engineer knows that the higher in the chain they get the less chance they have of being out of work when they furlough crews due to slow traffic, or being bumped out by a senior man. Complaining is an every day part of being on the railroad. If you live the railroad life, then you

  • the truth is the truth, this fella is not a liar!!!

  • Fire the fuck me!!! I don't care! I mean where else can I put in 14 years and have Tuesday off.. Tuesday from midnite to midnite... Maybe.. If they don't call me at 21:45... Yes... Flipping burgers is MORE fulfilling than busting my ass to move YOUR frieght you ungrateful bastards... 3 step... Can't ride tank cars anymore.. What!? Double check.. Yes your lined... Am I in the clear!??? No!! Come on back 20 and run me over in the gauge cuz I can't take it anymore..

  • At Csx... You just have to send an written apology letter to the caller and all is forgiven for the first offense... That's if you get a prick Csx caller... Never had a bad conrail caller.... Ring ring... Csx calling.. Hello.. Hello.... Click... I answered the GD phone.. Hello... Ring ring... ( in background... Callers talking smack.).. Hey hello.. ... Click.. Ring ring.. FU I'm not first out... I'm not even on call.. Oh your miss calling me cuz you running the roster.... NO.. You ain't got me

  • @James6408 This call should have never been made public. It is the property of CPR. I wouldn't have let him get away with it.

  • @Candy3Corn3Cat will know exactly what I mean. It is a tough life and being away from home alot sucks. And you are away from home alot. Stuff like this happend, but there comes a time when enough is enough and you try to live some part of your life like this individual is doing. Letting the railroad run your life 24/7 gets real old after a while.

  • @CSXtrackworker No one knows what he's really thinking.

  • Man, for someone that used to work for the railroad, this guy is my HERO!!!! Well said and bless his heart. These callers need to hear the damn truth. I can tell he doesn't work for CSX. Two resaons: 1) He still has his job!! 2.) He actually had a caller who had an enthusiastic attitude and spoke professionally. Otherwise, not a member of NWA, Run DMC, the "inner-city bloods" etc (what we dealt with at CSX otherwise).....Good for him. I always wanted to do that to one of those SOB's caller

  • so true. thats how it is!!

  • I believe the reason why he still has his job is because he was being honest with the crew caller.

  • @ALS2001 Actually it was becaue this call was released.

  • I knew Doug in Calgary....his nickname was Gabby......last I heard he was working in Ontario. It's all true! :) Un-fuck'n-fit lol .....he was a conductor though, unfit is an Engineer thing lol. I also met the crew dispatcher....good guy.

  • I didnt know 5 million thousand was a number, great video

  • @skullcrusher301 IT'S A TON OF WHISKEY

  • Doug told the Railroad exactly what all Rails would like to. How the hell do we live this F##ked life? Its worse now than it was in the old days. Regular road jobs and locals/yard jobs are scarce as hens teeth. The Carrier wants it as one big extra board with nothing regular anymore. I'd like to see the regular world people have to live the life of a Rail in North America. Most people dont beleve how we live.

  • I assume he was canned????

  • @CubsFanJohn nope, he still works there!

  • Comment removed

  • @decivox He is now Retired on Pension!

  • @decivox is he a locomotive engineer? Do you have his other recording? if so put it up!!

  • @dieselducy He was not an engineer.

  • @decivox the benefits of union dues...

  • @decivox i bet he got alot of demerits though ahha

  • @decivox Not even surprised. They were probably impressed at his honesty.

They did probably suggest that he not make a habit of it, but at the end of the day, everyone understands how being on call is fucked for anyone. Including most employers.

    :D

  • @CubsFanJohn no, he still has a job because he doesn't work for CN. CN would have fired him. CN would have nailed him for 1)Refusing a call. 2) Conduct unbecoming 3) Booking sick on call. CP is a little more forgiving, though I doubt he got off scott free.

  • @enr3870 I work for the CN and I agree 100% they would fire this dude real quick with the management we have haha.

  • @CubsFanJohn LMAO. not when ur on the teamsters union, my dad works with this fucking guy, he sells t shirts that say fire the fuck me

  • @scott024024 i have a hat and wear it everytime i go to work haha

  • "Fire the fuck me"

  • yeha CP Rail rules

  • 5 million thousand gallions of whiskey

  • Hilarious!!

  • @BananaJSSI Hoo-hoo I caught shit from the radio station management for playing this. Oh well. Maybe I'll play it again next week!

  • @gangesexcavating Right on!!

  • LMFAO Ive done the same thing when getting called to go do a trip in the oil patch, We wait all day long from 8 am to late at night no call then after having a few drinks at around 9 pm they call us and want us to go load and drive 10 hrs to a rig.. lol this guy was funny

  • 5 milloion thousand gallions funny

  • 5 million thousand gallions of wiskey

  • Five million thousand gallons of whiskey....LOL . He said it right. "Life don't mix with the railroad."

  • home boy said " now were fuckin gooned" "you know what tell'em i fuckin quit", this whole clip is one big amazing quote, i love it.

  • hahahahaha this is fukin funny

  • That is my dad, Douglas Seibert XD he told me a few years ago he was famous on the internet and I found a wave file of it on this random site. Im going to have to tell him hes on youtube now and show him the link. lol Is proud to have come from "fire the fuck me" guy lol. Im glad that his legacy will live on and not be lost to the deep spaces of the web! *favorites*

  • @H0n3yBeee ude you pops is hilarious, I think he should be awarded some kind of medal, or be inducted into the railroad hall of fame, he told the crew caller what thousands of rails have wanted to say ! Bravo to him for tellin it like it is !

  • @H0n3yBeee

is he really your dad and if so did he get fired?

  • @N2fishin Yes hes my dad. No he wasn't fired, at least when he told me the story he said that his boss heard and called him back and they settled everything out, he still works for the railroad today.

  • @H0n3yBeee That is too funny!

  • wow i know Doug lol

  • lol!

  • Best man in this guy's wedding......In May

  • @decivox No he works in mactier.

  • This is how the railroad industry usually works with the extra board employees, no set hours, just a two hour call and go. Expect to work, weekends, nights, major holidays, extreme heat, blizzards etc.,etc. Most jobs are least 12 hour jobs. and maybe away from the house from 14 hours to 3 days, where layover is required.

  • Hilarious! LMFAO! Was this posted by the crew caller?

  • Paycheck would luv it . . . : >)

  • know what, i spent 5 years at CP and i vouche for everything this guys says, hahahhah. LIFE DONT MIX WITH THE RAILROAD.......YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANNA DO, I AINT COMMIN IN I CAN HARDLY F****N SEE AS IT IS. this is how railroad legends made.

  • i cant go im fucked LOL

  • "I tell ya what. Write me the fuck off sick - er whatever you wanna fuckin' call it - If they don't like that, they can fire the fuck me!"

  • LMAO i knew this would be Canadian... Classic... been there myself.. a few times lol

  • I would love to have a beer with this fucking guy. Classic. Everyone wishes they can do this. Hope you still have a job brother. Good going.

  • wow doug next time just cough a few times and say your sick

  • hahaha, that's pretty hilarious!

  • That man is awesome. I've never had that good of an excuse for the crew caller.

  • Ah Good Ol Doug, never worked with him, but heard a lot of stories. Kinda wish I got to meet him and Graham the Crew Dispatcher on this call Is now a Conductor out of Calgary. He said when he made this call, he had to fight like hell not to start laughing his ass off.

  • So did this get Doug in big trouble?

  • Nevermind saw the answers below.

  • Doug Seifert (sp) will go down in history. Every single railroader (CNDR/LE) has wanted to give it to the crew office at one time or another. Whenever I am feeling shitty about my job (lots lately) I play this and smile. Way to go Doug!!!

  • I know Doug personally as a co-worker. He is a good man who is full of life and, as you could see, COLOUR. He also is a fantastic cartoonist who should have followed that path... He is that good...

Yes he relocated to Ontario. He was trying to move back home for some time where he was willing to quit to do so. He managed to get there by some strange reason shortly after this call was made ;)

I think a lot of the guys miss his colour and humour out West.

  • What a classic, Only in Canada EH

  • @yimmer - What the Canuck? ;-)

This IS classic. Not just rails want to tell that to their employer, but just about any hard-working North American.

  • sounds like my dad

  • that name was listed to a number in a small town just west of Calgary Alberta. The caller calling from Calgary.

  • yeah. Alfy i think is name is.

  • N/m it's Doug. you have to really listen to the beginning.

  • Yea, his full name is in the description.

  • i heard this guy still has his job because he did the right thing. told them he could not come in because he was drinking.

  • There was a guy on MNR here who got nailed the same way, though I do not think it was this wordy!! But the end result is that he was removed from his position of Assistant Conductor. They say alcohol is the real truth serum!!

  • fuk urself crewkid more like fagkid

  • fag, life dont mix with fags like you

  • ya u fag go sux a doods dick

  • like a boss

  • Crewkid go fuck yourself.

  • life don't mix with the railroad!
