I think the criteria that in a tied period, the last person to score is honestly the stupidest rule ever created for the sport. A tied period is a tied period, and should be settled by some fair criteria, as opposed to rewarding the guy who waited the longest to get his points. The only thing it really discourages is a wrestler getting a big lead then holding on to it, which is a perfectly acceptable strategy, and something that's difficult anyways with a six point tech-fall. It's ridiculous.
