The mantra is used for its sound value to experience thinking at finer and finer levels so that coming to the finest level of sound it can be left behind and the experience of transcendence, beyond thought, attained. That experience of transcendence which is commonly experienced in Transcendental Meditation IS the level of salvation, however temporary, but made permanent, as the yoga sutras explain, by regular practice. That is the field of mukti, liberation, bhavatit chetana, Transcendental Consciousness and the reality of this is seen in scientific research, in Upanishadic explanations of that state and in the subjective experience, objectively understood. TM is the supreme path to it, Nature's own path.

In the Anthology (The authorized Biography of the Beatles) Pal, Ringo & George apologized for their false statements they did 1968 after they came home from India.
It was a pity they were following Johns advises & John is to pity for he had Yoko for his advisor. She was the evil point in his life which was really to short! But in the end always truth will win over lies. It is a Natural Law!

All what happens is the seed we once were putting in the earth one day we will reap the "Fruit" of that action! It is a natural law. But still I feel pity for John (am not happy at all about his death). At last George, Ringo & Paul showed their love for Maharishi & apologized for their wrong doings.
By the way 3 weeks ago Sir Paul with Ringo & many others gave a benefiz concert in NY to spread Maharishis Meditation (TM) in schools

hey Marbonil, everybody who's born of a womb is made of skin & bones. Every saint in christanity or in any faith is like that too. even so called son of god or messenger of God was like that. They also died same way watsoever believers say. Infact we all r part of god. He is inside us. we all have potential to b saint. Or claim to b son of god. But we are fucked up by worldly desires. we have to come up first.

So, frandra, are you saying John not accepting the maharishi is why he was shot to death? George died of lung cancer; so, what was his bad karma from? not accepting Jesus Christ? I would say this is more true than why you think John was killed.

All the Beatles except John (and remember what Karma he unfortunately received) are loving the Maharishi!
When last year my Master went into Maha-Samadhi Ringo & Paul spoke so nice about Maharishi & TM.
George & Paul as well were visiting Maharishi in Holland & Paul McCartney is giving with his friends on April the 3. in New York a grand Concert so that many children in the schools can learn Maharishis Transcendental Meditation ™

Frank, YOU are WRONG! when the Maharishi went into death (Samadhi) the remaining Beatles paid respects. BUT George UNDERSTOOD John's anger of writing not only Maharishi (changed to Sexy Sadie) at George's pleading, but George was NEVER worried about John's KARMA! and all 3 Beatles LEFT the Maharishi at Rishikesh, WITH John, George DID NOT CONTINUE TRAINING with the maharishi, but instead, by Sri Ravi Shankar. John was angry also writing Dear Prudence, ABOUT the MAHARISHI! THIS IS WELL KNOWN FACT

According to a recent Deepak Chopra interview, he and friend George Harrison met with Maharishi in Vlodrop (MERU), Holland in 1991. Maharishi asked George to tell Deepak the story of why the Beatles left the ashram in India under clouded circumstances. George told Deepak that the Beatles were taking drugs while there. Maharishi found out about it--after Ringo and Paul had already left--and he told George and John to leave.

i like it.God is very sweet,though sometimes He has to punish,and ususally Nature will carry out that punishment.Nevertheless,what Judas Ischariot did was a lot worse.He betrayed Jesus the Lord,so that He could be taken prisoner and be tortured, humiliated and crucified.Even then,Judas hung himself,God did't take any revenge.When Judas had expressed repentence,he would have been forgiven and not go to Hell.The demons fallen Angels deserve eternal punishment they turned God down in His Face.

Part 1: Maharishi found out that "Magic Alex" brought drugs in Maharishis Holy Ashram (India/Rishikesh) for some of the "fab four", so they created a false story that Maharishi would have touched Mia Farrow. Years later the 3 other Beatles apologized for their false statement. You can read it in the Beatles authorized Anthology (Biography). Shortly before George left his body & also Paul had a few month later in Holland a private meeting with Maharishi.

Part 2: Maharishi said to George: "There is no need to apologize; I still love all 4 of you. You have done so much good with your Music. I look upon you as being Angels!" Then tears of love went down the face of George! Dr. Deepak Chopra was the witness of this beautiful private meeting.

What John may have done to Maharishi is not in comparison to what Judas Ischariot has done to Jesus, that is betraying his Master so that he may be killed. I mean, is death penalty (John was shot) Nature's punishment for being so disrespectful that he brought drugs to Maharishi's ashram? What are we fighting the Taliban for? John was behind the Beatle's exclamation that they were more popular than Jesus, and yes, that is disrespectful.I don't know if he deserves death for that.

All of us will die one way or another. It is not because of betrayal. It is just how nature operates. Even Lazarus whom Jesus resurrected had to unltimately die, again! Whom did Jesus betray? He had to die on the cross! This is evidence that death is not a bad thing, because all of us have to go at some point. If death is bad, then birth should be worse.
