@TheLegomensch Wenn Du die Strecke meinst, die gibt es noch. Die heutige A 115 nach Berlin. Bis zum Dreieck Funkturm. Die "Rennstrecke" wurde jedoch nach dem Crash nur noch bedingt, danach garnicht mehr benutzt. Die AVUS war lange Zeit die einzige Transitstrecke nach Berlin und es kam schon damals bedingt durch Sperrungen für die DTM-Austragung zu einem unglaublichen Verkehrschaos. Die Strecke war auf Dauer für die schnellen Wagen zu gefährlich, die Rennen verhältnismässig unwirtschaftlich. Lg
@subwayavenue - Na ja, also "unwirtschaftlich" ist in Berlin vieles, ich persönlich halte das nur für einen der vielen vorgeschobenen Gründe, warum auf der Avus keine Rennen mehr gefahren werden. Auch ohne Rennen ist die Strecke in bemitleidenswertem Zustand, vielen von der Ökofraktion war das Rennen ein Dorn im Auge. Und selbstverständlich wollten immer sehr viele Leute an den Renntagen rein zufällig über die Avus aus Berlin raus, natürlich nur rein zufällig, um dann zu meckern.
@NishanKapuge Pretty much all of it is still there, the long straights are part of the autobahn network, but it has not been used for racing since 1999 or thereabouts.
it´s a small highway directly in berlin!i drive on it several days the week. the big grandstands are still left.plus there is still a piece of the hairpin corner left.but there is no racing anymore, unfortunately. i only race by myself at this place :-D

@rambo0ch genau das hab ich auch eben gedacht....norisring ist echt nicht großartig anders, aber soviel mehr kann man bei gerade-kurve-gerade-kurve (bei denen hier und da ne schikane reingestopft wird) nicht rausholen ;-)
