I haven't seen this video and that is exactly what I said. George went to Tom's house to get his guitar because he left one here so he didn't have to bring it back and forth from England. I won't say I told you so, but I did - that being to the person out their who said I didn't know what I was talking about. Ha. I was right.
I dont know why he is not on this interview. He never has been interviewed on the wilburys, except for the documentary, other than that, nothing. the reunions in 2002 and 2003, no bob, just Jeff and Tom.
@dilwich123, screw you, lime pirate! (Just kidding) But seriously, aren't all the Wilburys, except for George, American?
Why, when you come to bury Caesar, do you Brit isles dingus types say that you've "b'ry" Caesar? Oh, you don't, you say?!?
When we say "bury" we pronounce it as two syllables, just like it's fucking spelled. It's you numbpeckers who clip and abbreviate everything (ever listen to a Cockney, where's the fucking leading consonants?).
@SgtCrom Well my aggressive little American friend - Jeff Lynne is British he's from Birmingham or as you Gun-Hoe Americans would say BIRM-ING-HAM (wrong again).English is our beutiful language and our gift to the World however Americans have bastardised it.And the great old USA has ruined so many English words by spelling them phonetically because there easier to learn that way.......Cheers my friend ;)
@dilwich123, you didn't realize you were arguing about English with a linguist. "Gun Hoe" is actually "gung ho". It's Chinese, it means "work together" (a term popularized by U.S. Marines stationed in China during the time of Sun Yat Sen). You're acting as if English were something carved in stone when it's a living language that changes and adapts to the needs of its users over time. The British English of today is a bit different than modern American English. You don't like. I don't care. GFY.
@SgtCrom Well im sorry to correct you my learned friend but Gun Hoe is an American invention which is a Garden tool that has been used for years to shoot at the neighbours.
@dilwich123, America was indeed an English colony populated by English, Scots, Irish and Welsh. But that's not all, we've got PLENTY of people here now from EVERY country in the world and they ALL add their own languages and cultures to the mix (at least that's how it's supposed to work). Thank God the "bastardised" English of America is more receptive to different words and ideas than yours you rigid prick.
This is all in good fun, btw, feel free to use your mastery of English to retaliate.
@SgtCrom Im actually Welsh so im in no position to judge anyone.....We like Mountains & Sheep and a male voice choir and we have given the World Sir Tom Jones and thats about it really. :-(
I listen to both albums.by ttw's awesome they never got radio play thanks to greedy American radio exec's . IPOD people download these albums by these guys they bring allot of Joy! When you do listen send up a prayer to George and Roy! God Bless ! P.s send up a prayer to all the rock legends cause they all are ttw's
I just found about them about 4 months ago and was like "How the heck did I not know about the Traveling Wilburys\/"
Anyway, did anyone find the way that Jeff Lynne found out that Orbison was dead a bit eerie? I know I would have been creeped out while at the same time grievious.
Lynne's writing skills are under appreciated. His status as producer, front man, singer and musician has overshadowed his song writing skills which in my opinion is only eclipsed by a handful of rock stars of which Bob Dylan is one.
Its Great to see this since Warner music Group blocked and or took off all the other Wilburys. I presume Rhino is a different company. Thanks for uploading long may it stay
Lynne co-wrote most of Pettys biggest songs.. Free fallin, I wont back down, Learning to fly, Into the Great wide Open.. since the Lynne-Petty songwriting days Petty has done very little of note
Let's see... American Girl, Breakdown, You Got Lucky, I Need to Know, Listen to Her Heart, The Waiting, Refugee, Don't Do Me Like That, Even the Losers, Don't Come Around Here No More.... On and on...
And since their late '80s-early '90s work together TP released "Wildflowers" (maybe his best record), and several other great projects. I love Jeff Lynne, but TP is a legend in his own right before he ever even met Jeff Lynne.
Would you not agree though, that those songs u listed aint as strong as...
I wont back down
Into the great wide open
free falling
learning to fly
?????... all four co written by Jeff Lynne. I have Tom's greatest hits album, and those are the four songs i play the most. The next best (don't come around here no more) co written by Dave stewart.. preceded Lynne. If you remove those 4 songs co written by Lynne, then Tom's career aint at the level it is... i say that as a big fan.
@Ali74 ..you are wrong...if u consider words like "BUT, AND, THE" as co-writer then u dont know nada. because that is all Jeff Lynne added when ever he wrote on Tom Petty projects. as for Dave Stewart, he never wrote jack for TP! he didnt even play on "dont come around here no more"

I agree with you. Whoever ignores the rest of the Heartbreakers/Tom Petty albums is an idiot. Although I like "Full Moon Fever", my favorites are "Hard Promises" and "Damn the Torpedoes"
I'm surprised that this hasn't been deleted as well!! Thankfully, I downloaded both 'End of the Line' and 'Handle with Care' before they disappeared from Youtube.
Some day soon, common sense may yet prevail and we can all once again enjoy viewing the now 'missing videos'.
What these people hope to achieve by deleting videos I can't figure out. In my opinion, all that they are really doing is totally spoiling the enjoyment for thousands of fans of pop stars who are sadly no longer with us!!!
Why is it I can't find the video of Handle With Care where they show the empty rocking chair? It used to be there now no matter what I do to find it it won't come up.Does anyone know which video I'm talking about?
La idea de formar Travelling Wilburys fue de George Harrison.Hace tiempo lei eso,no se si esa informacion estaba bien,yo la verdad es que tengo dudas de esto.
I have loved all of these guys forever. I was listening to the passion in Jeffs voice, a past song "dont walk away" and I am so amazed how he admires and praises the other artists when He is the one really who I never tire of. What an honor it must be to work with him.

@michelalano Yeah, the 5 of them were special. And at the time they were enjoyying a resurgence in popularity and it spilled out into the music. The late 80s and early 90s were a great time to be there.
