  • I haven't seen this video and that is exactly what I said. George went to Tom's house to get his guitar because he left one here so he didn't have to bring it back and forth from England. I won't say I told you so, but I did - that being to the person out their who said I didn't know what I was talking about. Ha. I was right.

  • @777jonah888, I stand corrected. It was probably Paul and Mick Jagger.

  • I dont know why he is not on this interview. He never has been interviewed on the wilburys, except for the documentary, other than that, nothing. the reunions in 2002 and 2003, no bob, just Jeff and Tom.

  • why isn't Dylan on this interview??

  • @StereoLightz You mean the reclusive Bob Dylan? He's the musical version of Robert DeNero. Little or nothing to say.

  • the dream team,

  • bob dylan never shows up:(

  • Omg Jeff Lynne still looks the same! LOL

  • Two dislikes? Probably from Paul and Ringo.

  • @Monkofmagnesia

No man, Ringo is cool..........He would like this.

  • Orbison died as he made a career comeback and was again on top of the world. He was great and sang so sweetly.Gotta love Texas for one thing.Orbison.

  • Why is this American presenter saying WILL BERRYS...its not a fruit...and why the stupid L/R audio split?

  • @dilwich123, screw you, lime pirate! (Just kidding) But seriously, aren't all the Wilburys, except for George, American?

Why, when you come to bury Caesar, do you Brit isles dingus types say that you've "b'ry" Caesar? Oh, you don't, you say?!?

When we say "bury" we pronounce it as two syllables, just like it's fucking spelled. It's you numbpeckers who clip and abbreviate everything (ever listen to a Cockney, where's the fucking leading consonants?).

Hint to Brits: Look at the spelling. Duh.

  • @SgtCrom Well my aggressive little American friend - Jeff Lynne is British he's from Birmingham or as you Gun-Hoe Americans would say BIRM-ING-HAM (wrong again).English is our beutiful language and our gift to the World however Americans have bastardised it.And the great old USA has ruined so many English words by spelling them phonetically because there easier to learn that way.......Cheers my friend ;)

    BRITAIN - 1

    AMERICA - 0

  • @dilwich123, you didn't realize you were arguing about English with a linguist. "Gun Hoe" is actually "gung ho". It's Chinese, it means "work together" (a term popularized by U.S. Marines stationed in China during the time of Sun Yat Sen). You're acting as if English were something carved in stone when it's a living language that changes and adapts to the needs of its users over time. The British English of today is a bit different than modern American English. You don't like. I don't care. GFY.

  • @SgtCrom Well im sorry to correct you my learned friend but Gun Hoe is an American invention which is a Garden tool that has been used for years to shoot at the neighbours.

  • @dilwich123, LOL!!! (good one)

  • @dilwich123, America was indeed an English colony populated by English, Scots, Irish and Welsh. But that's not all, we've got PLENTY of people here now from EVERY country in the world and they ALL add their own languages and cultures to the mix (at least that's how it's supposed to work). Thank God the "bastardised" English of America is more receptive to different words and ideas than yours you rigid prick.

This is all in good fun, btw, feel free to use your mastery of English to retaliate.

  • @SgtCrom Im actually Welsh so im in no position to judge anyone.....We like Mountains & Sheep and a male voice choir and we have given the World Sir Tom Jones and thats about it really. :-(

  • @dilwich123 there's always christian bale and ryan giggs as your number 2 and 3 exports ;)

  • How fortunate that all the stars lined up so they could get together and record.

  • I listen to both albums.by ttw's awesome they never got radio play thanks to greedy American radio exec's . IPOD people download these albums by these guys they bring allot of Joy! When you do listen send up a prayer to George and Roy! God Bless ! P.s send up a prayer to all the rock legends cause they all are ttw's

  • These five made some of the best music ever and had fun doing so

  • I need to buy that. . .

I just found about them about 4 months ago and was like "How the heck did I not know about the Traveling Wilburys\/"

Anyway, did anyone find the way that Jeff Lynne found out that Orbison was dead a bit eerie? I know I would have been creeped out while at the same time grievious.

  • yes they do! pale that is

  • I have this set.. great music! Could listen to these guys everyday!

  • Only band BIGGER than the Beatles!!!

  • i got a traveling wilbury vid of my OWN

  • R.I.P George and Roy. :(

  • well dun

  • Remember how milli vanilli (gag) won record of the year over "Handle With Care". Shows how much Grammy's suck.

  • I just watched the last episode of Mad Men, and it ended with a Roy song. I've been on a Roy binge ever since.

  • Lynne's writing skills are under appreciated. His status as producer, front man, singer and musician has overshadowed his song writing skills which in my opinion is only eclipsed by a handful of rock stars of which Bob Dylan is one.

  • RIP Roy best singer ever he has voice of god

  • Its Great to see this since Warner music Group blocked and or took off all the other Wilburys. I presume Rhino is a different company. Thanks for uploading long may it stay

  • I wish I was Jeff Lynne.. what a life he's had..

  • Jeff Lynne has always had a fro, and wore shades

Lynne co-wrote most of Pettys biggest songs.. Free fallin, I wont back down, Learning to fly, Into the Great wide Open.. since the Lynne-Petty songwriting days Petty has done very little of note

  • Let's see... American Girl, Breakdown, You Got Lucky, I Need to Know, Listen to Her Heart, The Waiting, Refugee, Don't Do Me Like That, Even the Losers, Don't Come Around Here No More.... On and on...

And since their late '80s-early '90s work together TP released "Wildflowers" (maybe his best record), and several other great projects. I love Jeff Lynne, but TP is a legend in his own right before he ever even met Jeff Lynne.

  • Would you not agree though, that those songs u listed aint as strong as...

    I wont back down

    Into the great wide open

    free falling

    learning to fly

?????... all four co written by Jeff Lynne. I have Tom's greatest hits album, and those are the four songs i play the most. The next best (don't come around here no more) co written by Dave stewart.. preceded Lynne. If you remove those 4 songs co written by Lynne, then Tom's career aint at the level it is... i say that as a big fan.

  • @Ali74 ..you are wrong...if u consider words like "BUT, AND, THE" as co-writer then u dont know nada. because that is all Jeff Lynne added when ever he wrote on Tom Petty projects. as for Dave Stewart, he never wrote jack for TP! he didnt even play on "dont come around here no more"

  • @RuthlessTyrant oh sure... lol. Since Jeff Lynne wrote the best songs for Tom Petty, without Lynne Tom Petty has produced nothing.

  • @Ali74 how old are you? i know it does not really matter, but u really dont know anything about tom petty now do you? please study some more youngN lol

  • @RuthlessTyrant haha.. hush old timer, you will respect your superiors.

  • @Ali74 and who is my superior? i am punishing you with facts and this is all you have to say? lol i'm 30 years old you clown! lolololol

  • @RuthlessTyrant Firstly I don't recall giving you permission to speak. I will not overlook any further insubordination. Similar age we may be... my knowledge on the career of one Mr Thomas Earl Petty Esquire surpasses all. Now get back in your box...peasant.

  • @Ali74 i see i hit a nerve, well thats more like it, now you get the swing of things lol i knew deep down inside you were a closet TP fan....among other things LOL OUCH.. no mas attention for you..run along..BOY

  • @RuthlessTyrant

I agree with you. Whoever ignores the rest of the Heartbreakers/Tom Petty albums is an idiot. Although I like "Full Moon Fever", my favorites are "Hard Promises" and "Damn the Torpedoes"

  • Cause he sold his soul to thedevil!

  • fuck Jeff Lynne looks exactly the same

  • Tom looks alot younger without that damn beard. Dont grow it

  • He looks like a Civil War general...with sunglasses.

  • whats the name of the song when the Traveling Wilburys get inside on a train?

    tanks

  • "End Of The Line"

  • whats the name of the song of the begin of the video?

    tanks

  • Great quality vid. Handle With Care is a brilliant song full of emotion, nostalgia, and sorrow but is, at the same time, a beautiful composition.

  • The Drummer in the Wilbury's was Session Drummer Jim Keltner who was given the Wilbury Name of Buster Sidebury when the 2007 Collection came out.

  • So................who was the drummer?

  • jim keltner

  • Jim Keltner - apart from Handle With Care which was Jeff Lynne (in his normal no-thrills manner of course).

  • I love the Travelling Wilburys! Just got their 3-disc greatest hits set...so relieved that I found that after my cassette tape was eaten.

  • WILBURYS RULE!

  • I'm surprised that this hasn't been deleted as well!! Thankfully, I downloaded both 'End of the Line' and 'Handle with Care' before they disappeared from Youtube.

Some day soon, common sense may yet prevail and we can all once again enjoy viewing the now 'missing videos'.

What these people hope to achieve by deleting videos I can't figure out. In my opinion, all that they are really doing is totally spoiling the enjoyment for thousands of fans of pop stars who are sadly no longer with us!!!

  • Thats right it is "End Of The Line'' Why is it not on there any more? Great tribute to thier friend Roy.

  • Why is it I can't find the video of Handle With Care where they show the empty rocking chair? It used to be there now no matter what I do to find it it won't come up.Does anyone know which video I'm talking about?

  • Isn't that The End of the Line?

  • You are right it was The End of the Line.

  • Yes thats right it is End Of The Line why is it I can't find it? I should've download that bitch!!

  • Can't find it cos YouTube had to remove a load of music videos. I got it as part of the Travelling Wilburys collection on DVD though :D

  • Yeah it does exist. I actually saw it on cable this week in a special about the Traveling Wilburys.

  • I've seen it here on the toob, but I couldn't tell you where it is...

  • woww amazing supergroup.

imagine that much legendary musical talent and ability underneath that one roof.

i'd die from all the intensity haha.

  • Pretty soon they can hold a reunion in a phone booth. Pity

  • ät skit skityoutube

  • One of the greatest groups of all time.

  • What a great story.... Wish you guys could have been around a few more years.... Roy Orbison was probably my favorite....

  • La idea de formar Travelling Wilburys fue de George Harrison.Hace tiempo lei eso,no se si esa informacion estaba bien,yo la verdad es que tengo dudas de esto.

  • I have loved all of these guys forever. I was listening to the passion in Jeffs voice, a past song "dont walk away" and I am so amazed how he admires and praises the other artists when He is the one really who I never tire of. What an honor it must be to work with him.

  • yes VOl 1 is the best and i have that home movie they made its quite the footage I read from my dylan biography that jim keltner the drummer said that they lost there spark or optismusim after roy died dont qoute me on this but i know it was something like that It seemed to bother bob the most R.I.P Roy and George

  • Travelling Wilburys Vol. 1. Best album EVER!!

  • Travelling Willberries?

  • I'm in my 20's, and unlike most of my idiot friends, I think this is some of the best music ever. It's a shame we probably won't see much more of it. The stars of today pale in comparison to these men.

  • @michelalano Yeah, the 5 of them were special. And at the time they were enjoyying a resurgence in popularity and it spilled out into the music. The late 80s and early 90s were a great time to be there.

  • Wish the bimbo'd pronounce the band's name correctly...

  • I don't get it, how come Bob Dylan isn't in the interview, : /?

    R.I.P. George and Roy

  • Yeah its weird he wasn't in the interview and he wasn't at the concert for george either.

  • I heard in an interview the way 'Wilbury' came up was when any song or chorus was a possible outtake, Jeff would just say 'we'll bury it before we record it' (not a word for word quote)and that's where the Wilburys came from ... Traveling is kind of obvious?

  • Version I heard was, "If we play a bad note,

we'll bury it in the mix".

  • Oh, I bought my copy right when it came out nearly. I wonder why Bob Dylan doesn't talk about the Wilbury's in interviews?? I hear he gets angry or w/e, when a reporter brings it up.

  • It's probably not a good idea to question Dylan in general... He's his own man and we should probably just accept that!

  • That's preposterous. He should be proud of the Traveling Wilbury's. They made great music.

  • The Traveling Wilberrys??? lol

Have vol 1 but didn't have vol 3 so I bought The Collection

  • I'm kind of pissed. I already have both CD's.

  • I´m sooo willing to buy this compilation. Although i have download some of their songs to my iPod, i am still wanting to buy this one.

  • I just wish that everyone was still living, and that they would tour. That would have been an awsome group to see.

  • Amazing what the greats can do when they put their egos aside. That's the funny thing only Dylan seemed to have a big ego when he was younger.Perfect timing for them all.

  • i got it.

  • May thy Wilbury done!

  • These guys are awesome !

  • Outstanding!

  • EVERYBODY MUST BUY THIS!

  • Great Stuff!
