You would have to buy splitters and a mix amp so you can plug both the console audio and mic audio.

@MaverickN21 You can do a custom size window. Streaming services are not capable of HD streams, and you would need a shit load of bandwidth to do it.

@stampylongnose You must have just installed CamTwist. You need to reboot your Mac for it to show up as a source.

@brobocops are you trying to open the stream on the same computer or across the network to another computer?

I was trying to open the stream from the same computer at first and it wouldn't work. I had to access it from another computer on the network.

On the other hand, I suggest EyeTV3.5 It's soooo much easier. I recently started using it and just wow, it really just simplifies the whole streaming process when used with camtwist. Give it a try.

What audio source are you using? I notice that for your stream video using eyetv, you chose soundflower for your source but in this video it looks as if you are using built in mic. Is there a reason for that?

So there is no means with this capture device and its related software, to get a direct feed into CamTwist? I use CamTwist a lot with windowed applications (I use it to broadcast games running under CrossOver Games) and it does use a lot of CPU, particularly in Desktop+ mode (Desktop mode does not seem to be anywhere near as slow.)

During the live streams, will it retain the same great quality with which one records as seen on other videos?? I have the avermedia, and their live stream, using just a second analog (not sure of the name) retains most of the same quality during live streaming. I have a problem trying to get my .mp4 footage on Sony Vegas Pro 9. Whenever I open my Vegas, it crashes when I try to import/open any file. And when it wasn't for that problem, it only imported a black screen "Media Offline" and only the audio.

I tried all of this, and had some problems. I open HDPVR capture and VLC comes up, everything is fine. Once I open camtwist and select VLC window the framerate drops and is very laggy.

I'm assuming this is just a software limitation of camtwist, but is there anyway to reduce this jumpy lag?

@Hakern get manycam... adobe flash media live encoder, and whatever your recording software is. if you have a hd pvr this is how you do it. set up the many cam with flash media encoder, and set manycam to record screen. then open your recording software and set the screen recorder to the size of your capture window. and then press start on media live encoder

You're sending HD video across the internet. Few people have connections that can handle that kind of data.

If you're referring to your local monitor window. Again, it's HD video. And USB is not near fast enough to transmit HD video in real time.

When you are on Ustream etc, you have to bring up the flash player to set your camera. Just as I demonstrated in the video. And the audio source is set the same way. Just in another tab.

It will GREATLY depend on your internet connection. Mainly your upstream bandwidth.

The HD PVR captures up to 60Fps. So the frame rate is fine. Understand that the computer is for outputting to the internet and recording. Not for using as a monitor for gaming.

Hey man, I got to test it out this exact same way through Ustream and I was pretty happy with it. But there was no way of being able to hear the game's audio by watching the stream. And through the broadcast, I won't be using the Built-in microphone as the audio source. The other audio source options didn't seem to work. Any ideas about that? Thanks.

Do you mean it's grayed out? If so, it probably doesn't see your VLC install. Try reinstalling it.

Drag it to your applications folder. BTW. Download and install app zapper. When you need to uninstall something, you drag the applications icon into this app and it removes it along with all associated files plist etc. It's the best way to uninstall stuff on the Mac.

However, got a question for ya: I noticed there is significant slowdown time by what's seen on the monitor, whether it is capturing or streaming. And from what I understand in a previous video, the slow down won't be seen after captured footage. But with streaming, Will Ustream viewers be seeing any slow down time by viewing my broadcast?

I think I understand what you're asking, so I want to clear up your concerns as I interpret them.

Anytime you are transmitting video, it's never in real time. TV signals from all the major networks are always delayed. It's the cost of video. It requires a lot of bandwidth and takes a minute to get from point A to point B.

That being said..People watching your stream online will not notice the delay because they are not sitting next to you while you play.

I should have been a little bit clearer, sorry for the confusion. In this video, during the CamTwist section, when you were showing us the "Preview" window for your Xbox 360 dashboard on VLC, you switched from dashboard sections like Marketplace to Avatar Items and the transitions didn't appear smooth. Will Ustream viewers see that abrupt break in smooth frame rate? That is what I meant to say. Hope that helps.

Ah, ok. Honestly. I don't know..I've only done it to demonstrate that it's possible. But again, you are transmitting video over the net so it's only going to be as smooth as your connection will allow. The more upstream bandwidth you have, the better.

The only way to get an output window with HDPVR Capture is to press the record button. This is one advantage that EyeTV has over HDPVR Capture. It has a monitor output window at all times.

I was looking into this on monday, but i sort of gave up after thinking about it for a while.... because for me it would only really be good for offline gaming because my bandwidth isn't too great.. and lag doesn't help. However it is nice to be able to do it. Great video.
