  • I use the same technique for sanitizing a bunch of kegs with one batch of sanitizer, but how did you make the air lock? Can you do a video of you making one? I'd love to use my cornies for primaries!

  • Great Video! Thanks, this will be my new way of fermentation.

  • great. thank you for uploading this video. I like to use my corny kegs as fermenters. It makes it so much easier for storage transfer and cool. but what about the sedment when you transfer it from the Pri to the Sec fermenter? how did you solve this problem.

  • I showed taking a sample in the video. You would simply hook up a picnic tap and dump out all of the sediment until you see the beer running clear (usually about a pint or two) then DISCONNECT the tap line from the keg, and take off the tap from the line and put on the second liquid fitting in place of the tap then reconnect to each of the kegs. If you just pull off the picnic tap you will have beer freely flowing out of the keg.

  • Yeah, I was thinking about the same way. thank you so much for confirming and for the reply.

  • Yes. To do a blow off I take a gray gas in fitting with a barbed end and put a tube from it into a water jug. It's super simple and works great.

  • Cool design with the corny as a fermenter...can you easily remove the airlock and replace it with a blowoff valve should the need arise??
