I think the point's bullshit myself but technically they don't count it as a loss but an O and take it on the records. If it was a loss like it should be then the Sharks would have 26 losses to the Wings 25, and the Wings would be up by 2 points instead of the point tie; but the Wings got the tie breaker having 1 more Win than the Sharks. Sharks will end with 115 points on the Season while Detroit ends with 131 points, aggressive but 120+ points is very doable while Sharks fall playing crappy.

I agree with you. My point is that I just think it kind of sucks in a way that sports can become so competitive between people who aren't even involved in playing in a game. I can't say that people shouldn't be upset when their team loses or gets knocked out of the playoffs, but some people can take it a little over the line, like for instance, people who skip work the day after their team loses a playoff game/series. That to me, is just pathetic. Sports should be enjoyed, not fought about.

I agree Detroit's netminding has been erratic. Having a vet like Ozzy with 3 cup rings, and Conkiln who has 6 shut outs (number 2 in The NHL) this year (against high scoring teams like San Jose, Chicago, Pittsburg) doesn't merit "huge hole" labeling. As sub-par as Ozzy's been, we're still in the tops. The team, as well as the goalie like Ozzy, always seem to ratchet it up a notch when it matter most: The Playoffs.

They're only showing up as #1 right now because they haven't lost yet today to the Predators which they Will LOSE. After today they will end up #2 and with 6 road games left, including how badly they've played all month, they're gonna blow it anyways so enjoy it while it lasts. I think the point's bullshit myself but technically they don't count it as a loss but an O and take it on the records. If it was a loss like it should be then the Sharks would have 26 losses to the Wings 25, and the Wings would be up by 2 points instead of the point tie; but the Wings got the tie breaker having 1 more Win than the Sharks. Sharks will end with 115 points on the Season while Detroit ends with 131 points, aggressive but 120+ points is very doable while Sharks fall playing crappy.

I disagree, you should actually want to lose to ANY team that's not in the playoffs versus a team that is; especially a team you may have to face in the 1st round. I don't think the Sharks will have to face Nashville though cause from interviews with Babcock mid last week he was talking about how playing an opponent who is close to home is MUCH more important to winning in the playoffs than winning the Presidents Cup. You missed 1 important highlight of this Season and fact that the Sharks have yet too score at Joe Louis this year. Check out all my Shark highlights as you might enjoy them. There are a lot of other teams the Sharks need to worry about instead of being tunnel visioned on the Red Wings cause they might not even make it to see the Wings in the Playoffs if they don't get past Chicago or Calgary. I even went to the playoff game 6 where San Jose closed out the Avs in Denver rooting for the Sharks, but no more. Sharks are absolutely awesome, top to bottom. No arguement there. However, I laugh my ass off when people, silly young and inexperienced fans, declare them the champs so prematurely based on one 1/2 a season, albeit an excellent start. Sharks are so good it is frightening. Detroit is too, but with the hardware and the rings to prove it. May the best team win. See you all in The Conference Finals.

I agree with you. My point is that I just think it kind of sucks in a way that sports can become so competitive between people who aren't even involved in playing in a game. I can't say that people shouldn't be upset when their team loses or gets knocked out of the playoffs, but some people can take it a little over the line, like for instance, people who skip work the day after their team loses a playoff game/series. That to me, is just pathetic. Sports should be enjoyed, not fought about.

I agree Detroit's netminding has been erratic. Having a vet like Ozzy with 3 cup rings, and Conkiln who has 6 shut outs (number 2 in The NHL) this year (against high scoring teams like San Jose, Chicago, Pittsburg) doesn't merit "huge hole" labeling. As sub-par as Ozzy's been, we're still in the tops. The team, as well as the goalie like Ozzy, always seem to ratchet it up a notch when it matter most: The Playoffs.

DOn't compare yourself to Detroit. Detroit spanked you 6-0, The Ducks 4-0. Regular season means NOTHING. Detroit lost 10 of 11 games last year in Feburary, would you pick them to win the cup after that...? NO, but they did. WHY? Because you pace yourself and save it for the post season. If san Jose wins 65 games, they'll have no gas for the post season.
I've followed Detroit hockey for over 30 years, they know how to win when it matters most. 4 cups in 11 years, 3 in 6 years.

Detroit also had one of the best records at the end of last season, also through adversity you gain much confidence and strength something the sharks have faced with their teammates the whole season. It's disgraceful how many times I've seen Shark fans attacking women, yelling at them in their faces, and even getting a little physical like a finger in their face or push. It's bullshit and that shouldn't happen at any game whether it's HP, Joe Louis, or any other arena but I've ONLY seen it happen at HP and I've been to a LOT of hockey games all over the country. There's a collosal diference from great regular season teams, and great playoff teams. San Jose has proven NOTHING. All that matters is the post season when it's all done and said.
Detroit didn't just whip San Jose, they humiliated them in a 60 minute clinic, but, it's meaningless. Look at Detroit's post season record recently versus Col., Dallas and San Jose. When, and "IF", you succeed in the post season, you have bragging rights. Until then, be chary, you may regret your premature glee.

You're way off. First off, Detroit won 6-0.
When Detroit lost to San Jose, Detroit played the night before in a grueling 5-4 OT loss on the road to The Ducks (who beat you 4-0), and the 4-2 loss was much closer than the 6-0 clinic was. Moreover, Detroit's 4-2 loss came at the end of 7 games in 10 days, 4 in a row on the road...they were spent and The Sharks were well rested.
You didn't "rock" a fresh team...you played a beat up team who played the night before.
