Too much blur. There are so many tools to do this with no marks of retouching... You have lost improtant details in shadows of cheeks etc. Save rough skin, no dirty or blured but normal, natural. Use liquify to repair nose etc... So much BLUR was nice effect in 2007/2008?

not bad, but i would have maybe narrowed and shaped her face a bit, fixed her hair, probably plumped her lips, and widened her eyes. i also would have done a litght dodge on her eyes and lips to really bring them out.i also would have changed the color a bit so its more towards the monochrome side and added more shadows and highlights.

great job on the smoothing of the skin though, and good job overall=]

kudos on this one! the natural features of the subject were basically left alone. it was the harsh, unflattering lighting of the original photo that made the retouch necessary. this is the work of a real pro.

Of all the "makeovers" I've seen so far I like this one the best because 1. you kept her natural features as they were (hair, mouth, nose, etc) and didn't move them all around to be symmetrical and 2. you didn't go too overboard. I say it's a good job!

I'm not here to flame, but I think it needs to be pointed out.

This is a pretty poor retouch. Despite the extensive work that went into it, there were some pretty big no-nos in it and the retoucher failed to even correct the color to start with.

The entire thing was overdone. With retouching, it's not about what can you do, it's what can you avoid doing. Less is truly more.
